Voile Ski Straps 9 Through 25 inches

September 14, 2010

The 25" hold a set of big ass skis on my snowmobile no problem, Every other thing I tried (bungee's, snowboard ankle straps, zip ties) Broke, these hold up amazingly. You can wrench them down like crazy and have no problems holding up. I'm amazed that one has never broken.

GoPro Helmet Front Mount

March 7, 2011

If you notice these extensions don't rotate 90 degrees each time, but thats about it, I've made my own front facing with a combination of arms and the tall curved mount shown here.

Best Accessory yet --- Chest Harness warning

GoPro LCD BacPac

GoPro LCD BacPac

Rating for this product: 5 March 7, 2011

This is the most handy accessory yet, I absolutely love the fact I can check out the vids and recap what I've done without going back to the computer.

Just a heads up on the chest harness, It's not really a big deal but with the bacpac on you cannot fold the camera flat against the chest because it runs into the mount. This can be solved by adding a couple of "arm" mounts to the go pro or just dealing with the camera being faced down about 10-15 degrees.

Buy one now.

Heads up using with LCD BacPac

GoPro Chest Mount Harness

GoPro Chest Mount Harness

Rating for this product: 5 February 15, 2011

I love my chest harness but I just bought the LCD BacPac and had to put a couple of extensions on it to get it angled flat. The standard mount does not allow it to lay directly flat against it because it hits the LCD case on the back of the go pro.

Epic Donkey Jacket

Stoic Luft Down Sweater - Men's

Stoic Luft Down Sweater - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 5, 2010

So I got this last week (for half off) and was looking to use it for the super cold winter we are really in for here in the NW. I am 6ft and 185lbs and the Large is perfect for me.

This morning I had to stand outside in 20degree weather for an hour with a pretty nasty wind and this kept me crazy warm for the little movement I was doing.

After that I used it as a Midlayer skiing because the wind chill was so gnarly. Bad Idea. It made me sweat so bad I had to take it off after the first run. It fits perfect underneath my L Helly Hansen Technical Shell.

Bottom Line: When its cold and you are not doing anything active, this thing keeps you warm. I would not use it for a Mid-Layer again unless I manage to ski in sub zero temps. Fleece inside pockets are nice too, Extremely lightweight, I'm pretty sure I could pack this into a zip-lock sandwich bag.

Suunto Vector Altimeter Watch

Suunto Vector Altimeter Watch

Rating for this product: 4 October 15, 2010

I'll just Echo everyone elses.

I bought this watch 2 years ago (for $148????) on BC.com and I use this watch every day, no matter if I'm working, casual, or climbing Mt. Rainier. it's flawless. I bought the cheaper Highgear Aerial Altimeter Watch off SAC for 38 bucks and boy was it worthless. I had to reset it about every hour to the correct altitude. No matter where I use this watch, it's NEVER out of 200ft up or down. And when I do big climbs I reset it just to make sure.

The only thing I can honestly complain about it when you have it in log mode, if you ever hit that same button again, it will stop it, So SUUNTO suggests you switch to a different mode besides the altimeter when you are logging. Well whats the point in that? I would like to see what altitude I'm at or how fast I'm ascending when I'm touring or skiing. I usually strap it to my backpack to get an actual reading of temperature and then I can usually have it on the pack with the altimeter showing and log book running.

Buy it, Buy it now. I would not regret.

PS: The plastic face I read got scratched by some people, right after I bought mine I bought an "invisible shield" sold by ZAGG.com for it, And it's protected it flawlessly!

Asolo Flame Gore-Tex Boot - Men's

Asolo Flame Gore-Tex Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 September 30, 2010

I hiked to Camp Muir on Mt Rainier @ 10,000 feet the day after I bought these, All I did was lace them up. Great snow traction, Stiff Shank for those extra rocky spots, waterproof. They held up amazingly. I still wear them every day to work to break them in further and think they will just get better.

Flames + Medium pad wool socks = Amazingness.

Rip Curl Pancho Board Short - Men's

Rip Curl Pancho Board Short - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 September 14, 2009

I've got about 20 pairs of Board Shorts. These I don't even keep in the same drawer because they are just on a different level. They've got absolutely zero stitching in them because they tape the seams instead of sew them. So they are ridiculously light. But the best of all, they literally will dry in minutes. Completely, They don't attract water at all, it just falls off of them when you get out of the water. I'll be buying Rip Curl shorts from now on out.

Epic Sandal

Reef Fanning-O2 Sandal - Men's

Reef Fanning-O2 Sandal - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 September 14, 2009

Okay So, I've had 2 pairs of the regular fannings before this and sworn to never wear a different kinda Sandals ever again because they are so comfy. I wear out about a pair a Year, which is okay with me. So I got these new 02 sandals, Oh my. They broke in in less than a weekend, and are the most rediculously comfy sandals I've ever had. I think the bottoms have alot more traction too. But right when you first get them, they are stiff, but as soon as you wear them for a bit. AMAZING. I'll be buying these from now on!

Helly Hansen Viper Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 February 10, 2009

I got the red one, It's ALOT redder than the picture shows. It's more like a bright red. And the powder skirt is not removable. Other than that, it's a comfortable sylish jacket, for a decent price.
