Tiny bottle

Nikwax TX-Direct Spray-On

Nikwax TX-Direct Spray-On

Rating for this product: 4 January 12, 2009

Don't be fooled (I was). This product is only 5 oz. It is not the bottle shown in the photo. 5 oz is only enough to treat two parkas. The small bottle sucks sustainability points.

This is, however, a great product for renewing the water repelancy of Goretex products.

Great tent!

Mountain Hardwear Annapurna Tent 2-Person 4-Season

Mountain Hardwear Annapurna Tent 2-Person 4-Season

Rating for this product: 5 October 24, 2005

The Annapurna is a great tent. It has all the advantages of the classic Trango at a much lower weight. The sil-nylon fly pitches taunt to shed wind. This tent is entirely bomb proof. I really prefer a double wall tent to a single wall because it has less condensation. I can't decide if I like the fly door as well as the one on the Trango. On the one hand, it opens completely for ventilation and easy entry, but it is hard to get in and out if there is gear in the vestibule.

Easy to use

Mammut CMH Barryvox Transceiver

Mammut CMH Barryvox Transceiver

Rating for this product: 5 November 1, 2004

I've used all the major transceivers and this one is the easiest to use. I cut my 10-year old soon loose with it. With no instruction, he located a beacon I hid in a wood pile. I like the ability to program it for a range of parameters.
