K2 Hellbent Alpine Ski

K2 Hellbent Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 5 March 7, 2010

Ski them at 189 (175lbs) with a +6 mount. The obvious is that it handles in the powder beyond expectations, whether it’s 3 inches of fluff or 30. Ski is nimble enough for trees and reverse camber makes riding switch feel like you’re supposed to be doing it. Played with these skis in all conditions from Jackson Hole backcountry to Abasin’s spring moguls… they rip everything. The ski doesn't get the best review for the groomers or the crud, but I would largely disagree as they grip tight and blow through the chop. As for hucks, jibs or anything else you want to do, they make it easy. Soft and solid landings that allow you to keep your fillings in your mouth. Center mount keep it balanced enough to pop 3’s or even 5’s. Mount position is everything. Bottom line, outstanding performance and attention grabbing graphics that will leave you anything but disappointed for adding this to your quiver.

Volkl Karma Alpine Ski

Volkl Karma Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 5 March 12, 2007

Having only skied Volkl AC3's, I was pretty nervous about switching it up to the Karmas. 10 minutes on the slopes and there was no doubt at all about this ski. This ski provides confidence in the steeps during all conditions and kills it in the park. Worth every penny.
