Big Agnes Air Core Sleeping Pad - Mummy
October 16, 2011
The Big Agnes pad that is loud is the Clearview pad. I have a Clearview and it is almost the same as this pad but it is clear plastic. The Aircore pad has a fabric coating over the plastic and it is very quiet.

Stoic Arx XL 2 Tent: 2-Person 3-Season
August 22, 2011
My thoughts exactly. This is not a "long" tent. I wouldn't even reccommend it for anyone over 6 ft, unless you want to be brushing the sides with your sleeping bag. Also fairly tight at less than 30 sq ft, not a tent for big guys.

Black Diamond Firstlight Tent: 2-Person 4-Season
December 17, 2010
The rain does not "come right through" I have had the black diamond tents with "epic" material and they are very water resistant. I have been through 4-5 hour rain storms with a few tiny drops of water at most.
you will get more water inside from condensation build-up. If you have the newer BD tents with Nanoshield fabric, they are supposed to be more "waterproof", but I haven't personally used one yet. Just make sure you seamseal your tent before you go, and you will be fine.
