Funky color but fresh jacket

Rating for this product: 5 November 7, 2008

The color made me a bit hesitant but now I'm rocking it just about everyday. I'm 5'11" and about 160 and the medium fits pretty snug (much more so than my M marmot sharp point jacket). The cut is definitely 'athletic' and it's plenty warm as a stand alone piece for Fall. Might have to layer up a bit more for winter.

While I was a bit hesitant about the color, I absolutely love this jacket. It's very light and comfortable but still quite warm. The cut of the jacket is pretty snug (much more so than my Marmot Sharp Point) and it looks great. Wind-wise, it holds up fine biking around but gets a little chilly when i switch to the motorcycle (where the Sharp Point really shines). I love showing off the goat and you certainly can't beat the price.

Awesome jacket

Love it. The medium fits a bit large on me (5'11" 160 lbs) which is perfect for layering. Pit zips and velcro cuffs work great. Windstopper does fine riding the motorcycle around town with just a t-shirt under it down to the mid 40s of Fall. When winter rolls in, I'll probably layer up a bit. Retail is a little steep, but it's pretty easy to find on sale here or elsewhere.

Good poles.

Took these over the Rae Lakes loop a while back. They held up fine and really made the trek more enjoyable. The lack of shock absorbers reduces the weight (and price), so it's not necessarily a negative, depending on what you're looking for.

Light, cheap, and effective, though not the most comfortable. Definitely gets the job done, but not the most comfortable. Almost everyone we ran into on the PCT had one.
