I wanna go fast! Have had a season pass somewhere for the last 13 years. I love big mountain freeskiing, going fast, big lines, big drops, not to big on turning. I also skydive, surf, hike, I love backcountry.

i have the short version of this and it's perfect for summer. ya you have to blow in it, but only a few times. I always store mine rolled up, blow in a few times and it's ready to rock.

Fritschi Diamir Freeride Binding

Fritschi Diamir Freeride Binding

Rating for this product: 5 October 22, 2009

skis really well, never had any pre release issues, i broke the rear step in point on one of them when i literally threw them down a cliff that I had to down climb. They must of landed on a large piece of talus concealed beneath the snow, had to ski out the rest of the way with one ski. Black diamond was very helpful and sent one of the two parts i needed for free, which they had to remove from an old pair in their shop.

Giro G10 MX Helmet

Giro G10 MX Helmet

Rating for this product: 4 October 22, 2009

I really like this helmet, super light, comfy, good fit with most goggles, there is a small gap on between the top of my goggles and the helmet, but I wear a baclava underneath anyway, so it's no big deal, the center visor mount broke when i face planted once and I attempted to glue it down, but it didn't really work, it kind of bounces around now...

Arc'teryx Sidewinder AR Jacket - Men's

Arc'teryx Sidewinder AR Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 October 17, 2008

This jacket is super durable, I skied it hard on the resort and in the back country for an entire season. Threw it around in the car and didn't baby it at all. After about 6 months of abuse from me it SERIOUSLY still looks brand new. On top of that it is no question the best performing jacket I've ever had. Completely waterproof, completely windproof, super abrasion resistant. Fits really well, awesome features, the hood tightening system is sweet, allows you to have 100% peripheral with the hood on even when looking to the side it doesn't block your vision.
Bottom Line:
Sick jacket, Worth every penny, even when you're a broke ass hitch hiking ski bum like me.

Arc'teryx Stingray Pant - Men's

Arc'teryx Stingray Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 October 17, 2008

These pants are a lot baggier than other arcteryx stuff and don't make you look like a tard like a lot of other technical gear. I've never had a problem with water leaking in even though these are softshell. Ridiculously windproof!!!! with the softshell fleece type liner on these you hardly even have to wear a baselayer on your legs. Oober comfy and don't make you look like a tool.
Bottom Line:
Unless you spend more time on the ground than actually skiing I wouldn't worry about the waterproof'ness
