Looks good mounted up on the car and the aerodynamic shape really does cut down on drag, which keeps the noise down when you're on the highway. Be aware that it can be a real pain to mount, so I'd recommend putting these on your crossbars before you put them on the car (assuming your crossbars are easily removable.) The mounting system is hit-or-miss when it comes to factory crossbars; I have a 2008 Subaru Impreza that came with super-wide aero crossbars that this just barely fit on, and ended up looking silly to boot. Since I was having trouble finding any accessories that fit properly on those crossbars I finally ditched them for a Yakima Qtower setup ... so be forewarned that this might not fit well (or at all) on some factory setups. Barring the problem I just mentioned, the mounting system is really solid; as designed it is almost impossible for someone to swipe this off your car without either picking the lock or sawing it off your crossbars... a big plus when you're lugging around a couple grand worth of ski/snowboard gear on top of your car.

I've used these for about 20 days on the slopes this past year and overall they've held up better than gloves from some other brands I've owned. Snowboarding can be rough on gloves so I've gotten used to buying a new set every year (I'm not the sort who will keep a pair of gloves that I have to duct-tape together to get through the day.) I was hoping that jumping to a higher quality glove that I'd get a couple of years out of them at least; so far so good, with a couple of caveats.

First the good: they're wicked warm... worn these in temperatures close to zero degrees without liners and I was still able to feel my fingers. The style and fit is great, and I'm especially impressed with the over-glove cynch... I've had the stretch-cord fail on me for several sets of gloves in the past (Burton in particular) and so far there's no fraying on these. Otherwise the stiching quality is good... no seam seperation (and no holes) so far.

The bad: the soft textured leather on the fingers is starting to fall apart, and the way the gloves were sown together the lining will occasionally bunch up around the pinky finger and make it difficult to get these on. These are both problems I've seen in other gloves so I'm not totally surprised, just disappointed that I still have these sort of issues with hundred dollar gloves.

Overall I'm happy with these so far... considering the amount I abuse my gear I guess I can't complain too much. I would even consider buying another set of these in the future... however durability issues seem to linger even at this price point, so beware.

Compresses well, expands quick once you unroll it, and lightweight. Nice luxury item to carry if you have the space... better than trying to use your stinky clothes as a pillow.

Simple, cheap and does the job. Poor choice for winter campers, but for the rest of us non-extreme users it works great!

Soft, light and comfy... medium fits me perfect at 5'8" and 155 lbs. I have it in 3 colors, and wear them all the time... casual nights out, at the office, and out snowboarding on the weekend. Biggest problem I have with this fleece is keeping my girlfriend from stealing it from me so she can wear it.

Bought a pair of these with black iridium lenses... overall I think they're terrific. No problems with fogging, larger frame doesn't cut off your peripheral vision as much as other goggles do, and they look sharp. Two things to keep in mind: certain Oakley lenses scratch easy (the iridium lenses in particular) so make sure you baby these... always keep them in the included pouch when you're not wearing them. Also, these tended to press down on the bridge of my nose when I wore them with my Salomon helmet. Not painfully, but enough that it might annoy some people. Overall I highly recommend these, however they are really meant for those of you out there with a L or XL noggin. A Frames are a better fit for me, but I liked the visibility on these more so I stuck with 'em. Also make sure to try them on for fit with your helmet... depending on the size/shape you may not be able to use these goggles comfortably.

Bought these on sale last year at a local store... probably the most comfortable pair of shoes/boots I've ever owned. They look great and are light enough for casual wear around town or at the office. Break in time was minimal; my feet felt great on multiple day hiking trips in and around New England last summer, including a 3 day backpacking trip along the Appalachian Trail in the NH White Mountains. On that particular trip it rained hard for most of the second day; unlike my companions my feet were still warm, dry and blister free by the time we made camp that night (even after sloshing through a couple of inches of water at a few points on the trail!)

Look good, they're comfy and have great wet/dry traction. Bought these to wear on a white water rafting trip last summer; performed beautifully compared to the strap sandals and water shoes most people wore. The pull-strap works really well; you can get these good and tight if you need to... makes them a bit uncomfortable if you overdo it but I can vouch for the fact that they won't get torn off your feet if you get dunked in a Class V rapid.

A bit awkward to get the bike up on top of the car, so hopefully you are tall or your ride is low to the ground. But once you get your bike up on this it ain't going nowhere. This system locks the front wheel nice and tight, and works fine with my disc brake mountain bike.

Mounts quick on my Yakima crossbars, so quickly that they might as well have painted "steal me" on the side of it. Will work with the accessory lock housing if you use a nut/washer combo and thread the bolt down through the crossbar mount, however nothing in the instructions mentions this possibility.

I still highly recommend this bike mount, however given how expensive it is Yakima really should have included a better way to secure it to your crossbars so someone doesn't walk off with it while you're out on the trail (thus why I give it 4 stars instead of 5).

Pricey, but an absolute must for making sure your valuable gear doesn't walk off without you.

Simple install... works great on my Subaru Impreza and my girlfriends Honda CR-V.

I just started backpacking again last summer, and picked one of these up for a weekend trip on the Appalachian trail in New Hampshire. I was a boy scout for 6 years, and I wish they had packs like this back then. Comfort-wise it was like night and day compared to the old external frame packs I remember using. Even compared to some of the somewhat modern gear that my buddies had, it was better fitting and I could easily carry more in it without any strain on my back. I've only used it a couple of times so far so I can't vouch for the long-term durability... however I have yet to see any problems and given the build quality I don't expect to. The lightweight fabric used has yet to snag, tear or stretch in any way... I was really rough on it my first time out and I was impressed that it still looked brand new after a couple of days being tossed/dragged/carried around in the woods. The little touches really added to my appreciation of this pack... things like the mesh side pockets on either side of the belt where I could carry my bandana and pocket knife, or the multiple access points so I could get to things in the middle or at the bottom of my pack without having to unload and reload everything constantly. Probably the only drawback is that it's so roomy that it could encourage you to overpack... I easily fit my sleeping bag and inflatable mat inside the bottom compartment and still fit my clothes, food, 3L Camelbak and a good amount of the group gear in the top with room to spare.

Overall I'd say it's worth every penny... so if you're looking to get into multi-day backpacking I would highly recommend this pack. Might be a bit expensive for someone just starting out, but look at it this way: you can end up losing a lot if your pack fails you part way through a trip... respect from your buddies if they end up having to pack out your gear for one.
