Great all in one cookware

MSR Titan Titanium Kettle

MSR Titan Titanium Kettle

Rating for this product: 5 August 9, 2008

Used this titanium cookware to boil water over my alchohol burning stove (Vargo). The kettle worked great and has enough room to boil 3 cups of water if you need to. Went on a hiking venture with it for over 50 miles and climbed a 14,000+ mountain without it showing any wear. Heard some complaints about the tight fitting lid while boiling... well, just set it on the kettle loosly while boiling. The only issue is the handle is very hot while cooking. Suggest turning off the flame of your stove and then waiting a little over a minute before handling the kettle. The good thing is the kettle cools off fast for easier handling.

North Face Redpoint

The North Face Redpoint Jacket - Men's

The North Face Redpoint Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 3, 2005

This jacket lived up to everything it said it would. I stayed warm at ~0 F in Colorado with the addition of only a thermal and sweater as underlayers. The jacket was quite breathable and packable but the zippers can get stuck if you are not careful, especially with cold hands. Also, I found it to be waterproof even after testing it under a water faucet.

ProTrek 6 GTX Hiking Boot

Salomon Pro Trek 6 GTX Hiking Boot - Men's

Salomon Pro Trek 6 GTX Hiking Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 24, 2003

I have used these boots to hike all the way down the Grand Canyon and back up in one day without receiving any blisters. However, it was necessary to break in these boots for at least a week before doing any serious hiking. I also hiked through snow, ice, and streams in the Sierra Nevadas without ever having wet feet. All said, these shoes met every expectation I had.
