Vans Classic Slip-On - Men's DO NOT USE

Rating for this product: 4 May 11, 2007

This shoe looks great and is more comfortable once broken in. There are some shoes that are a bit more comfy, but my feet are pretty wide. Still they are great if I don't wear them every day.

Look PX 12 Jib Ski Binding

Look PX 12 Jib Ski Binding

Rating for this product: 5 May 11, 2007

Look (and Rossignol is the same) is the only way to go. Looks hold you in MUCH better than Salomon or Marker, but you still come out when you need to. Look is also pretty good with warranty stuff if their bindings ever (rare) have issues.

Cool, but not too versatile.

Rip Curl Hallifax 2 Clog-Men's

Rip Curl Hallifax 2 Clog-Men's

Rating for this product: 4 April 2, 2007

Thumbs up for the great comfort and looks. I get quite a few compliments on these. They are really only for casual use though. The Hallifax has no traction and isn't super durable. Still, good at what it's designed for.

K2 AK Enemy Alpine Ski

K2 AK Enemy Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 5 March 23, 2007

One of my favorite skis. The flex is pretty soft, so it is a riot in the pow and park - Super playful. I have never been on a ski that floats better or is more fun. The playfulness comes at a bit of a price though and they get a little sketchy at high speed over rough snow.

Since the sidecut is fairly deep it is actually one of the best carving skis I've ever been on. I remember riding the tram with these on ice days and people asking if I heard a different snow report than they did. After skiing though, they would always be amazed at how well these things can carve.

All in all, one of the best skis made'n the last 10 years

Hands down, the best ski here.

K2 Seth Alpine Ski

K2 Seth Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 5 February 28, 2007

I've ridden most of this year's freeskiing skis, but this is my all-time favorite. It carves anything, POWNs (Power-OWNs) the powder, crud, ice, whatever. They get a touch jittery at high speed, but since they are quite a bit stiffer than the Pistol it holds together decently well. What it lacks in ultra-high-speed stability though, it more than makes up for in other areas. It should also be noted that this ski does NOT chatter on the groomed, only on variable terrain at super-man speeds. The progressive sidecut makes it easy to rally lots of different turn radii, and it is easy to break into a skid if you need to (the benefit of the narrower tail).

Best down coat ever.

Salomon Teneighty Down Jacket - Men's

Salomon Teneighty Down Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 7, 2007

First, the very minor gripes I have: The zipper can be a little hard to zip up sometimes, and ... umm... (I'm struggling for another gripe) ... the pitzips could be a little bigger to allow more venting.
It is kinda hard to find negatives with this jacket, so I'll just move on to the positives now -- I'm very impressed with this jacket. Warm, great fit (I'm 5'11, 165 lbs and the medium fits perfectly) and it looks better in person than it does on the pictures. I'm also a fan of the warm, comfortable hood. Highly recommended.

Nixon The Don Watch

Nixon The Don Watch

Rating for this product: 5 February 7, 2007

I love the face on this watch - easy to tell the time quickly, and the hour and minute hands glow well so you can still tell time in the dark even though this watch doesn't have a backlight. I love the styling. The only complaint I have is that the watch squeaks just a little when the joints on the bracelet move. Picky, I know. Since it's probably fixable with just a little oil or something though, I still gave it 5 stars. Great watch.
