Stoic Bombshell Bib - Men's

November 5, 2011

The bib portion of the pants zips off to make them a pant. It's designed to be a one-piece but technically zips out to two pieces. Clear as mud?

Stoic Merino Comp Hiking Socks - 1-Pair

Stoic Merino Comp Hiking Socks - 1-Pair

Rating for this product: 5 November 4, 2011

If you're not on the wool sock bandwagon, you're missing out! Slowly, I've been converting all of my socks to wool and I just picked up two more pairs. I can't comment on the durability or wear resistance just yet, hence the 4 stars. But I can say that they are quite warm and really, really soft. Very comfortable!

Wool socks; get on it!

More money gear from Stoic

Stoic Breathe T-Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Stoic Breathe T-Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 November 4, 2011

Great shirt; love the thumb holes. Once the snow flies, this will see regular rotation in the layering. As mentioned already, it is a bit thicker.

I can't comment on the durability or snag resistance. I'm also curious to see how the shirt resists piling.

It should also be noted to that the Deep/Shale color is darker than the picture provided. It's more of a darker turquoise, than the sea blue pictured.

Moment Bibby Pro Model Ski

October 5, 2011

Kyle, thanks for the info. In some serious interwebbing, I found the same. The ski will look the same but be called the Bibby Special. It will feature a bigger shovel at 150 and a narrower tail at 120, I think? Also, it will have less tail rocker in what MOMENT calls their mini-twin. It will also be sold in a 186, in addition to the 196 you mention. Blister Gear did a review of it and it's what you say; a huge AK line sort of ski and less versatile than the Bibby Pro.

Moment Bibby Pro Model Ski

October 3, 2011

I've been reading that there will be a Bibby Pro Special Edition in both 186 and 196. On the Moment site, there are lengths listed as such. So two part; will these be sold at backcountry.com and what are the differences on the Special Editions? The Moment site lists tip/tail rocker profiles, so I'm a bit confused ...

Ruffwear Beacon Safety Light

Ruffwear Beacon Safety Light

Rating for this product: 4 March 2, 2010

This is a great bit to add to your dog walking/running gear bag. A little larger than I thought it would be, but that's a great thing for visibility at night.

Since I own a Black Lab mix, this is a must have for walks/runs at night.

The only little knit-pick I have is that the button could be bigger and more pronounced for turning it off and on with gloves.
