Best Coat Ever

Patagonia Fiona Parka - Women's

Patagonia Fiona Parka - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 November 29, 2008

Looks like the high-fashion coats New Yorkers wear...with MUCH less bulk and much more warmth! Sleeker than the Michelin Man variety and machine washable...a perfect combination. And the inside pocket for when you only want to carry a wallet...and it doesn't take an extra seat at the movie theatre or on a bus!

Womens Primo Jacket

Patagonia Primo Jacket - Women's

Patagonia Primo Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 April 4, 2006

Patagonia keeps trying to improve the engineering of the jackets, but this one has minor setbacks: (1) It lacks the left sleeve/wrist pocket which was very handy for Kleenex. (2) The angle/zippers of the outside pockets are not quite right because things fall out (gloves, etc) when they are not fully zipped. (3) Upper outside pocket placement, it would be better on the left side since the world is dominated by right handed people. Also preferred it next to the zipper for a cell phone. Improvements include: (1) sleeve lengths not made for apes. (2) Better gripping powder skirt. (3) 2-way front zipper. (4) full removable hood. For helmet wearers storing the hood in the collar gets too bulky.
