Great Jacket

The North Face Obsidian Triclimate Jacket - Men's

The North Face Obsidian Triclimate Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 January 14, 2010

I bought this Jacket for a trip to Tennessee and to use skiing. I used to for skiing and found the jacket perfect. I could start off with both layers then remove the inner layer and compress it in my backpack when the day got warmer. I didn't have a use for the hood that comes with it while skiing and just kept the hood in one of the many pockets built into the jacket.

I then took the jacket to Tennessee where the highs were only in the low 40s and rainy. The jacket vented nicely and I never had a problem with sweating. The hood that came with it kept my head perfectly dry as the jacket kept the rest of me dry. I would recommend this jacket to any one who normally finds themselves hot in a winter coat because the venting does a great job.

Warm but not too warm

The North Face Bones Beanie

The North Face Bones Beanie

Rating for this product: 5 January 14, 2010

I bought this beanie to wear when I travel and need something warm on my head and it works great. The beanie has a nice 3 inch liner that is soft against my ears and forehead. My last beanie was wool with no liner and was always scratchy against my forehead so I really appreciate this simple feature.

Awesome DSLR Camera Pack

CamelBak H.A.W.G. NV Hydration Pack - 967cu in

CamelBak H.A.W.G. NV Hydration Pack - 967cu in

Rating for this product: 5 April 1, 2009

I wanted a pack that I could use while hiking and mountain biking that would hold my DSLR camera. This pack had all the room that I needed and more. The side pockets hold my flash and camera lenses perfectly. The main compartment holds the camera body and plenty of other things. The smaller front pockets has enough room for filters and lens cleaners. The compression straps keep everything nice and tight so nothing will rattle around. Really a perfect hydration bag!

Great tent, easy setup, no problems.

The North Face Moraine 33 Footprint

The North Face Moraine 33 Footprint

Rating for this product: 5 March 6, 2007

The tent was very easy to setup with the foot print I bought to go with it. The tent slept myself (6'4"), my girlfriend (5'4"), and my Great Dane (6'0") with plenty of room.
The camp ground was in Florida on a cold night of 37 degrees. I did have lots of condensation on the inside of the rain fly but we where still dry and I've always had condensation in a tent in that type of weather. The tent packs nicely into the provide sack when packing up camp.
The tent would be to big to back pack with or do any type of hiking with unless you had a stuff sack or could spread the tent pieces across two or three back packs.
Over all I highly recommend this tent for two people and a dog or 3 smaller people. The design of the tent seems to keep any condensation from dripping back inside the tent so you should stay nice in dry. I haven't had a chance to use the tent in the rain but I would bet the tent would hold up nicely.
