T-series Strap review

Suunto T-series Strap

Suunto T-series Strap

Rating for this product: 5 March 17, 2008

The strap works well. At least, I'm not afraid of it falling off my wrist or the clasp failing on me. The ribbed section bugs me sometimes when I'm putting the watch on because the clasp catches on the ribbing. But, other than that, it's great. I'd buy it again.

Neat HRM

Suunto t4 Heart Rate Monitor Watch

Suunto t4 Heart Rate Monitor Watch

Rating for this product: 4 March 17, 2008

It's my first HRM. It's a nice watch and easy to use. The interface is pretty straight forward. I bought a GPS pod to mate with the T4.

Positives: Easy to use. The pods interface fairly easily to the watch. Stylish. The coach is nice for a beginner to HRMs like myself. I don't have to really think too much about what my next workout should be like. I just look at the Coach and follow the advice.

Negatives: Nylon strap sucks. Plastic faceplate easy to scratch up. I would like to know how the Coach plans my workouts.

Things that I would be interested in seeing: More features. If I compare this watch to other electronics I own, I don't see how an HRM can or should be this expensive. Maybe with a color screen and built in mp3 player it should cost $200...it doesn't make sense to me. But to be fair, the other HRMs at this price have similar # of features. Also, I wish I could program it for working out with weights as well as cardio. I like strength training as well as cardio. It's not really taken into account when you train using the T4 coach.
