Sessions Leatherneck Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 April 25, 2009

Overall great jacket the Sherpa fleece is nice and it keeps you really warm even on the coldest days, if they have the black available i would git it up as long as it goes with your steeze... the white tends to get get dirty quickly if that wasnt obvious to anyone.

Black Diamond Covert Winter Pack - 1343-1953cu in

April 15, 2009

I have never owned an Outlaw but I started using the the 22L Covert with and avalung this season and I love it. I am about 6ft tall and the waist belt rides up around my belly button but that is my only complaint and it has not gotten in the way yet. The pack fits everything I need for a day in the backcountry and calms my nerves a bit because of the avalung, it might be worth getting the model with the built in avalung if your planning on hitting the backcountry at all. It cost a like twenty dollars more but I have noticed that the model with the avalung has been on Tramdock quite often in the last month or so, if your not in a hurry you might be able to catch it for a little cheaper on there. Here is a link to the model with the built in avalung.

Very comfortable but not very durable

K2 Raider Boa Coiler Snowboard Boot - Men's

K2 Raider Boa Coiler Snowboard Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 2 April 13, 2009

The K2 raider boas work great for a season or two but the cables get worn quickly and snap after some rough riding. I only weigh 180 lbs and have gone through 2 cables in each boot over three years and it can be a hassle to find the right length replacement cable.

Good goggles

Oakley A Frame Goggle - Polarized

Oakley A Frame Goggle - Polarized

Rating for this product: 3 April 6, 2009

These goggles are pretty sweet, the high amber lenses are great and work well in a variety of conditions but to be honest i have a pair of Smith Phenoms i use on sunnier days that fog alot less often and they are a little cheaper or the same price depending on which lenses you get.

Simple but effective

Backcountry Access Tracker DTS Beacon

Backcountry Access Tracker DTS Beacon

Rating for this product: 5 April 2, 2009

This Beacon is the best on the market for people just beginning to venture out into the backcountry, It doesn't have lots of the bells and whistles lots of the more expensive beacons have but when it comes down to simplicity the tracker has what you need, it is also very easy to learn with and with enough practice it can be just as effective as the pricier beacons within its range.

Good deal

Voile Rescue Shovel System

Voile Rescue Shovel System

Rating for this product: 5 March 30, 2009

I was looking to buy a new shovel and also pick up a probe at REI and for the cheaper ones there they would have run me 50-60 bucks a piece. If you're in the market for convenience or just a good deal this is the best option I found.

Perfect

Smith Phenom Goggle - Polarized

Smith Phenom Goggle - Polarized

Rating for this product: 5 January 29, 2009

I got a pair of these goggles as a gift two seasons ago and they are by far the best goggles I have ever used. They don't fog easily and the vents take care of it pretty quickly when they do. Fit well with a helmet. If your looking to save money though I have seen these on tramdock once or twice if your not in a rush it might be worth waiting for em to pop up.

Not Bad

Burton Custom Snowboard Binding

Burton Custom Snowboard Binding

Rating for this product: 3 December 15, 2008

Not bad, I had hopes for something a little more durable the straps come loose a bit occasionally and the toe strap does not tighten correctly but overall they get the job done.
p.s. in my experience burton bindings tend to run a little big.

CRKT Zilla-Tool

CRKT Zilla-Tool

Rating for this product: 3 December 11, 2008

Pretty good knife, I would expect it to be a bit more versatile and include a few more tools based on how heavy it is but if your not worried about weight it is a very solid knife
