Hydro Photon SteriPEN Classic w/ Stuff Sack DO NOT USE

This thing is AWESOME!!!! It will kill everything, period. Don't even stick your finger in there...just kidding. Walking sections of the AP and had no problems. I was a little concerned about the glass bulb but the cover for it is rock solid and didn't have any problems with it staying on. Batteries lasted for the whole trip of 8 days with no problem. It's fast, easy and the water is GOOOOOOD. Once you have this thing you will never go back. The website claims that it will do thousands (14,000 to be exact) purifications before the bulb goes so drink away my friend. With NiMH batteries the website claims 200 16oz of water. Get it, you can't go wrong.

Great Pack

Arc'teryx Bora 65 Backpack - 3720-4330 cu in

Great hip belt and shoulder straps. Lots of room and zippers are bomb proof. I plan on having this pack on my back for the whole 16 year (don't ask) trek of the AP Trail. Make sure you measure the pack right because there is very little torso adjustment. Lots of ways to get into the pack to get your stuff out. Nice waterproof pouch on back to put wet stuff in. All in all a great pack that will stand up to anything you encounter out there. It is a little heavy but it is all belt and shoulder straps....which are great after a good 20 mi day.
