Good Designe Poor Construction

Flow NXT AT Snowboard Binding

Flow NXT AT Snowboard Binding

Rating for this product: 3 March 29, 2010

This is my second set of Flow bindings and I am sold on their design. They work great and provide you with the same feel everytime you step in them. The only downside is that Flow uses crappy materials. The plastic feels brittle and the gold paint used is already chipping after the first use. Bottom line is that the bindings work great but I don't know how long they will last due to the poor quality.

Looks Good But Too Small

Mountain Hardwear Monkey Man Fleece Zip T - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Monkey Man Fleece Zip T - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 December 30, 2008

I'm 5'10" 185 lbs 44 inch chest. I made the mistake and bought a medium and it is definitely too small. It was way too snug so I'm going to have to exchange it for a large.

Very comfortable shoe that looks great for just bumming around. The North Face size chart is spot on after a short break in period.

Good Concept Poor Execution

Flow AMP 9 Snowboard Binding

Flow AMP 9 Snowboard Binding

Rating for this product: 3 March 6, 2007

All in all I am satisfied with the Amp 9's but I think Flow could have done a better job with the construction. I love the ability to be able to step into the binding, lift the highback, and be on my way. Sure beats having to sit down each time after coming off the lift. But I think the materials used to construct the Amp 9 are cheap. On my first attempt to unscrew one of the screws, I stripped it. I didn't even have a chance to try another screw driver. Also, after a couple of weeks of use, some of the paint has started to chip. Sometimes when stepping in, I really have to dig my boot into the strap to get it all the way in to lift the highback.
I think the bindings will be good for another season or two, but I'm not expecting them to last me longer.
