Volkl Katana Alpine Ski

September 4, 2010

i'm an inch shorter and 10 pounds lighter than you. i skied the 190 last season and really liked it. To answer your question on length. yes the rocker does make the ski seem a little shorter on the hard back. it skis more like a184, but in the powder(were it matters)it skis just as long as a traditional 190, but floats even better. if you are only skiing it on only powder days, i would maybe think about the 197, but i think the 190 would be better. i had a metal binding on the ski and the set up is not light. that 197 will be the heaviest ski you have ever owned.

this is the binding i would suggest. this binding will hold you in the best, and it's light. the "L" break size will fit over this ski.

Marker Griffon 12 Ski Binding

November 29, 2009

those are brake widths, nothing to do with boots sole length. if you have a wider ski than 90mm in the waist you will want the 110mm brake width. you can fit these bindings to any boot size.

Oakley Alps Jacket - Men's

Oakley Alps Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 September 4, 2009

I'm ready to spend a winter in this jacket. Oakley outerwear is actually really high quality. I ski daily in there stuff and it really holds up well. Zipper pulls are my only complaint. They are plastic and can break. Just be aware of that and you'll love their stuff. Anything 10K or high from them will keep you dry.*I'm inking out the rasta stripes.REGGAE IS FOR LISTENING NOT WEARING!!Tanner you're from Utah so rep some Bluegrass KID!

Can't go wrong

Dynastar Legend Pro XXL Alpine Ski 08/09

Dynastar Legend Pro XXL Alpine Ski 08/09

Rating for this product: 5 September 8, 2008

This ski is unreal. It is easier to turn that you may think. it not quite as stiff as you may have heard. the tip is soft enough that it really floats well in the soft stuff. but true to the rumors, it is stiff enough that it rips the hard pack and crud you will encounter. if you want a true big mountain ski this is it.
