best tent I have tried so far

Mountain Hardwear Trango 2 Tent 2-Person 4-Season

Mountain Hardwear Trango 2 Tent 2-Person 4-Season

Rating for this product: 5 December 15, 2008

Great tent - bombpoof and whit stands almost all kinds of wind plus it takes a ton of snow.
The pitching is not the fastest but once securely anchored down I trust this tent more then a hut.
I also have a Trango 4, which has by far more room but is not as windproof. If you are looking fore the best winter / bad weather tent - you found it. The Trango 2 is all you need if you are willing to take compromises in terms of space. It though still is big enough for 2 people with winter and/or climbing gear. We even slept once with 3 people in that tent - which was very crowded and I won't recommend it.

Mountain Hardwear Monkey Man Jacket - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Monkey Man Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 June 11, 2007

The Monkey Man jacket has become one of my favorite items to wear while outside, and that means everything outside of my house! I started to wear the jacket just on backpacking and climbing trips and now I hardly want to wear anything else. Incredibly warm, holds quite a bit of wind and even a bit of rain. Looking forward to test it during the winter. The chest pocket holds cellphone and other things you wanna have close to you and the other pockets hold your hands warm. All in all - great Jacket!!!

great bag to have for your screws. Keeps the backback tidy and the screws from ripping other stuff in the back. Really handy to have - highly recommendable.

Mountain Hardwear Rock Sack Bivy

Mountain Hardwear Rock Sack Bivy

Rating for this product: 3 June 11, 2007

This Bivy is fine if you don't want to use it on day-to-day basis. The hood is kind of narrow to get in (guess it is really waterproof for that). It is difficult to enter with a bulky sleeping bag and once inside you don't have a lot of space to close the sleeping bag and adjust the cords. It might be alright during the summer with a smaller sleeping bag - I haven't tested that yet. How ever I am not impressed with it during winter trips.

cooking light

MSR Titan Titanium 2 Liter Pot

MSR Titan Titanium 2 Liter Pot

Rating for this product: 5 June 11, 2007

The pot is so light you can hardly feel it when you pick it up and it is (as titanium suppose to be) very durable.
I used it both on open campfire and on a MSR Dragonfly. It got its dents of course but thats what I call character. Great pot if you want to save some weight. Just bring another pot holder - the one which comes with it isn't any good. I suggest the normal MSR handle.

Sigg Thermal Trend 1.0 Liter Bottle

Sigg Thermal Trend 1.0 Liter Bottle

Rating for this product: 5 June 11, 2007

so you go out back country skiing with your buddys pull out the Sigg bottle and everyone goes "WOW". Just for their faces it is worth it. Otherwise it is a pretty normal thermos bottle which keeps stuff hot. Works like its supposed to work...
