Salomon Grip Snowboard

November 18, 2009

I am trying to decide on what size to get in this board, I normally would get 157 without thinking, but with the rocker tech in this board it makes me wonder if I should be looking more at the 154, I weigh 160lbs and am 5ft 10 inches, I want a all mountain freestyle board , not a park only board, or board size. Thanks for any input, I live in Southwestern Montana. Also I am curious if anyone knows the details of the rocker on this snowboard, is it zero camber between the bindings with rocker in the tip and tail or is camber between the bindings with rockered tip and tail, its not very clear, even on Salomons website they say it has Rockequalizer : stating that it has low or flat camber with ridiculously long nose kicks, but what exactly does that mean, I think it means zero camber (aka: no camber) and rockered tips and tail, but if anyone knows for sure I would greatly appreciate the info

Smith Skullcandy Bluetooth Bombshell Audio Kit

December 3, 2008

Yes, but you must get the version that is made to fit the Variant Brim. It looks identical in appearance to the Holt and Hustle version.

K2 Auto Ever Snowboard Binding

December 1, 2008

Burton gives their bindings a 1-10 flex/response rating, this is very nice when comparing bindings in their line. K2 however does not do this. This binding looks awesome but what should one expect in this bindings flex/response? I called K2 and they informed me that it is the stiffest binding in their line up, not so stiff though that it is impractical to use for an everything binding, on a scale of 1-10 they said it would be either a 7 or 8 in terms of flex/response. Just because it is the stiffest binding in their line up does not mean it is the nearly the stiffest binding out there. This binding is still able to slay it in the park and yet able to charge a hairy line anywhere else. Sounds like a sweet freestyle binding for an agressive all mountain freestyle shredder. I think theese are going to make a large impact on the binding world this year. Still pricy but less expensive than other companies premier bindings that actually offer less.
