Burton Hero Snowboard - 09/10

November 2, 2009

I would go for the Lib Tech TRS BTX, it rides like a dream and is stiffer than a lot of other boards with reverse camber.

Osprey Packs Talon 22 Backpack - 1200-1300cu in

Osprey Packs Talon 22 Backpack - 1200-1300cu in

Rating for this product: 5 October 26, 2009

I took this pack on a 24 mile day hike in the Grand Canyon. After almost 10 hours straight wearing this pack, I had not one complaint when the day was done. It's fully adjustable to fit perfect. The back panel allows airflow, the shoulder straps are comfy and breathable. I doubt there are many day packs that out there that perform like this. Whether it was running or hiking, it functioned extremely well.

Patagonia Traverse Softshell Jacket - Men's

Patagonia Traverse Softshell Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 October 26, 2009

The jacket is perfect for trail running and hiking in the fall/winter. I'm 5'9, 155, got the medium and it's a perfect fit. It's a little longer than other soft shells I tried, and still slim. From what I've found, this is the best jacket for outdoorsy activities in cooler weather.

Looks like it's getting some cred where deserved:

Osprey Packs Aether 70 Backpack- 4000-4400cu in

April 11, 2009

I just flew to Nicaragua, got on two connecting flights. Mine fit in the overhead compartments just fine, it wasn't completely packed out but was probably 30-40 lbs or so. The dimensions of the bag are bigger than airline regulation, but for the most part they don't check, and you can make it work if its not stuffed.

Waist is too big

Salomon Wayfarer Stretch Short - Men's

Salomon Wayfarer Stretch Short - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 March 25, 2009

These shorts are good for hiking/hanging out in hot and humid weather. They are super light and breathable, the stretch fabric is great for hiking, and they dry fast if you get them wet. My only complaint, is the same as the other review, the waist is huge, I also ordered a 30 and it was to big.

Be careful

Yakima KingPin 2

Yakima KingPin 2

Rating for this product: 5 February 17, 2009

There have been an increasing number of reviews about this rack being stolen completely off the car. If you purchase this rack and want to leave it on your vehicle a good percentage of the time, I definitely recommend getting the Yakima Deadlock kit for the unit ($40.00). This allows you to lock the Yakima rack to your hitch as well as lock the bicycles to the Yakima. I believe you can purchase these two components separately, but then you will be dealing with two separate keys. It is best just to cough up the $40.00 and get them both at the same time.
