SmartWool Training Beanie

SmartWool Training Beanie

Rating for this product: 5 January 9, 2009

This is my second smartwool beanie. my first one is a little lighter so i'm not sure if it's a different model or what, but I love both of them and want two more! i wash them by hand in dr. bronner's pepperment and then let them dry right on my head. they still keep me warm. buy this hat!

Slimmer but not slim.

The North Face Aconcagua Down Vest - Men's

The North Face Aconcagua Down Vest - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 January 9, 2009

I bought this for layering under a rain jacket, but it's pretty long and puffier than I'd expected. It still does the job and keeps me very warm. I was happy with the lighter fill because I'm pretty warm generally. It also helps to keep my pits dry(er). it even packs down reasonably well inside the chest pocket.

I received this jacket for Christmas (after asking for it). It's a much slimmer fit than I expected, but the next size up is too big. Time to do some sit-ups. But I've been wearing it non stop and today some guy at a football game came up and asked me where I got my jacket. I want another!

i bought this bag as a carry-on for for international trips. that way i can take the lightweight packable bag and stuff it into my luggage/backpack and hit the road without additional luggage. but i've since fallen in love with this thing and use it around town for soccer, shopping and even groceries. it's so lightweight you don't even know it's there. i want another!

Best. Bag. Ever

Big Agnes Encampment Sleeping Bag: 15 Degree Climashield HL

Big Agnes Encampment Sleeping Bag: 15 Degree Climashield HL

Rating for this product: 5 November 28, 2008

This was my first "real" sleeping bag. I'd never liked mummy sacks and I always slid off of my pads and bruised my ankle bones. After a lot of consideration and many naps in demo bags, I decided that the big agnes system was for me. I can't take it anywhere without someone commenting on how cool it is that the pad goes into the bag. I bought a cross mtn too for summer and layering. I've used it for both and loved it. I got my sister and her husband and my girlfriend these same setups for XBox last year and they all love them. Hi Ya!

it's hard to zip up all the way. and all of the pocket zippers are awkward. the ipod hole is sweet. the pit zips are sweet. the liner is the best part. the whole package keeps me very warm, but the zippers are a pain. overpriced, but works.
