Yakima DoubleDown 4 Bike Rack

Yakima DoubleDown 4 Bike Rack

Rating for this product: 5 March 23, 2009

The fact that this rack comes from the factory compatible with both an 1.25" and 2" receiver is great. Sharing between two cars with different sized receivers is a non-issue, just use or remove the provided adapter and install.
I have had three bikes back there cruising down the interstate around 80 and they did just fine. Rough roads were not a problem either, this rack is very solid.
The added deadlock gives me piece of mind that the rack and bikes are safe from nasty thieves. Sure, part of the rack could be jacked, but what good would that do anyone? I am not worried.
The forks drop down when not in use and the entire racks folds down for simple access to truck, hatch, etc.
In summary, this rack is safe, solid, and looks darn fine on the back of any vehicle.

Yakima Q Clips - 1 Pair

March 22, 2009

Well Mike, the best bet would be to send Yakima a note to be notified once the fit is determined. You can do this from their website in what would be step 2 of 'Fit My Car'. Given that Yakima makes custom fits to ech year/make/model, it may take a while...

The North Face Solaris 35 Backpack - 2150cu in

January 30, 2009

The specs on the bag give the dimensions as being 22" x 13" x 9". I plan on using mine as carry on for a trip to Switzerland this summer. For my torso, the waist straps hit right above the hips and tighten down quite well. There are even straps to cinch the bag itself into the waist belt.

Most likely, visit www.yakima.com and follow the "Fit My Car" link. Enter the make/year/model to get a list of what you need to set up a rack system on your car.
