Best boots ever

Scarpa ZG65 XCR Hiking Boot - Women's

Scarpa ZG65 XCR Hiking Boot - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 April 3, 2007

I bought these boots 3 months before I did the Inca Trail. All it took to break them in was a few 4 hour walks, and then it felt like I was wearing pillows. I didn't get a single blister or sore spot on the Inca trail, or during the rest of our 2 weeks in Peru. I don't have strong ankles or arches, so I usually get sore feet and legs when I stand for long periods of time, but these boots completely cured that. Highly recommended for anyone who need extra support. Well worth the price, very good value.

Vasque Ranger 2 GTX Hiking Boot - Women's

These shoes are VERY uncomfortable, there is very little cushioning. They are a big blister waiting to happen. I wore them on one 1 hour trial run around my neighborhood, and decided to return them.

These socks rock!

They kept my feet dry and comfortable, even when I was walking for 11 hours. They also stop me from getting blisters (which I am very prone to).

Good backpack, great price

Kelty Illusion Backpack - Women's - 3500cu in

Kelty Illusion Backpack - Women's - 3500cu in

Rating for this product: 4 April 3, 2007

This is described as a "weekend pack", but there's more then enough room for a longer backpacking adventure. I went to Peru for 2 1/2 weeks, and there was plenty of room to spare. It's very light, and comfortable once you bend the frame to match your body shape. The compression straps work really well at keeping the load balanced. The only complaint I have is that the material the pack is made of is not that strong. It got a tear on it at the airport on the way there.

Works well, even in heavy rain. Packs nice and small to fit in your daypack. Underarm vents kept me cool.

Great pack

It's so light and comfortable, you forget it's on. Small enough to stuff into your backpack on long trips to use for day hikes etc. On the Inca trail, it was large enough to carry my water, first aid kit, rain poncho, fleece, lunch, toothbrush, and extra shirts and underwear. (Yes, I was amazed too!) Much better than those poor sods lugging those huge packs up the passes!

Very Versatile

Isis Everywear Short-Sleeve T-Shirt - Women's

These shirts are so awesome, I bought two. They have a great fit - not skintight but not boxy either. They look great with jeans or hiking shorts, and are very comfy and breathable. I'm a size 14, and it's hard for me to find exercise tops that are flattering (ie not clingy or baggy), but these are my favorites.

I bought these boots in preparation for doing the Inca trail. I've been wearing them everywhere, and they are amazingly comfortable and very breathable, my feet don't get too warm at all. They also broke in really quickly - it only took about 20 accumulated hours of walking, mainly up and down the hills in my neighborhood.
