The North Face Vortex Triclimate Jacket - Men's

The North Face Vortex Triclimate Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 11, 2006

I love this coat, it's not The North Face's most pricey by any means yet has two significant advantages of their premier jacket the Free Thinker. 1/ The hood is removable, this is a big plus for those of us who like to get some speed up and if you fall over in powder having a hood on your jacket can be a major inconvenience. The hood is really well designed with a peak which effectively keeps the rain of your face and has a sublimely designed draw string arrangement that gathers the hood in for a snug fit in the wind without distorting the shape of the hood or the effectiveness of the peak 2/ The liner is removable, this is great because all you need on the mountain is a water proof shell over your layers but when heading to the boozer, stick the liner in and you can get away with a t shirt. I've worn this jacket pretty much all year as it looks good with jeans and again the liner makes it versatile in all weather. Teamed with dark brown TNF ski pants to which the powder skirt can be connected to prevent it riding up and the look is super tasty.
