I bought these gloves with an idea of using them for biking and potentially light scrambling becasue I like the fact that they're lightweight and have grippy pattern on the palms. Well - just after week of using them the material started pilling pretty badly and they show heavy signs of wear. Fair, I am not using them for what the manufacturer made them for but then - who would buy a new pair gloves just to be able to adjust volume on an iPod???

Arcteryx proves to be No. 1 again

Arc'teryx Gamma AR Pant - Women's

Arc'teryx Gamma AR Pant - Women's

I loved these pants from the moment I first tried them on! They fit really nicely and the cut is smooth and flattering. The material seems it will last a through a lot of backcountry use. The manufacturer claims the material is water-repellent but that is true only when the pants are new. I wouldn't really recommend them for winter sports (not waterproof, not warm enough) but they are absolute no.1 for mountaineeringa and backpacking.

Arc'teryx Alpha LT Jacket - Men's

Yes, this jacket is pricey, but you will NOT regret the purchase. I'd say Arc'teryx Alpha LT (fall 2007 model) is the best Gore-Tex jacket currently on the market, wonderfully lightweight yet with all the details you need it to have. Hats off to this one.
