Mountain Hardwear Phantom Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 16, 2007

Pow! I opened the box and was confused by the light weight - how could it be? Regardless, it is an awesome puffy that works great in cold conditions where you don't want the added weight of the old skool parka.
Light weight does comes with some sacrifices; the zippers are skimpy and so is the shell material. I doubt either of these will hold up well with a lot of use in tough situations like bushwacking and exposure to picks or crampons points...but it's not really made for that - it seems more for snow camping, backcountry skiing/boarding above treeline.
But for me - I'm going to use it for everything cold and hopefully with some care to avoid the sharp stuff, it'll stand up well.
