Outdoor Research Aria Down Vest - Women's

Outdoor Research Aria Down Vest - Women's

Rating for this product: 2 December 11, 2011

The vest was large and boxy. I sent it back.
I have a Backcountry down sweater and an Eddie Bauer down sweater and vest and bought a Patagonia for my daughter, all of which are of far better quality in fill and fit.
I wouldn't recommend this one.

Chaco Pedshed Shoe - Women's

Chaco Pedshed Shoe - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 September 20, 2011

This shoe is more comfortable than my Chaco sandal. You'll have to size down however.
My sandal is a size 9 and I had to go a full size smaller---an 8. I tried an 8.5 but still too large.
I have wide feet, normally wear Keens, but these are fine.

Chaco ZX/2 Unaweep Sandal - Backcountry.com Exclusive - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 November 14, 2010

Given that I just got these babies, and I live in New England, I've not the opportunity to wear them.
Straps are adjusted, tweek'd here and there, and ready to go.
Seem to fit pretty well.
I'm stoked to have a new sandal for Spring wear.

Sugoi Wallaroo 170 Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Women's

Sugoi Wallaroo 170 Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 March 2, 2010

I LOVE this shirt! It's warm--the warmest of my wool baselayers and it's very soft. Smartwool has a little pick but not this--can't even tell I have wool on except for the warmth.
I bought the marine and pink colors. I wish I had purchased more now.

Obermeyer Tremblant Jacket - Women's

Obermeyer Tremblant Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 March 2, 2010

I bought this jacket 1st in an 8 and had to return it for a 10. I tried on other Obermeyer jackets..they all run small.
I love this jacket; it's warm and I like the cut and clean style. And I can't live w/out hand panties.
But what I don't like is the hood is very difficult to get over my helmet---a real pain when going up the lift... and there is no sleeve pocket to stash my lift card (not a problem if you live in New England).

Yeah--I loved them initially. Cute...I thought.

Oakley En Bleiler Jacket - Women's

Oakley En Bleiler Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 2 February 20, 2009

I love the fabric; lightweight and supple...and the color--I love the green. I was especially excited that it was recycled. But that's as far as it goes. As soon as I unzipped it out of the bag I knew the magnets were going to be a problem. They snap together w/ super force--what a pain. The hood is lame---zip off which is not indicated in the description and there is no weight to the brim. And the hand-panties are lame too--only one layer of fabric w/ no heat seal. They will pull and run in no time.
I'm sending it back.

I didn't really like this. It fit like a swim cap; just too tight for my liking. I prefer my Ibex cap.
I sent it back.

The North Face Mountain Sneaker - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 February 2, 2009

I've had my eye on these for quite a while and finally bought them; I have the red.
I like these mountain sneaks. They fit well, look good w/ jeans and w/ khakis at work.
Not quite as comfortable as Keens because they don't have the support, but I like them none-the-less.

If you have cold hands like me, you'll want these. I have a size 7 hand, always buy L in driving gloves. I bought these in a L--they fit perfectly; tips of my fingers to the end and the elastic is right at the wrist.

Oakley D3 Watch

Oakley D3 Watch

Rating for this product: 1 January 29, 2009

I bought this watch, adding an option to my Ironman---but it doesn't have enough function. Plus, it's not very comfortable. Even w/ Steep & Cheap price, I don't think it's worth it.
Anyone want a free watch?

Pearl Izumi Select Cycling Short - Women's

Rating for this product: 3 September 8, 2008

These are the usual quality Pearl shorts, but they run VERY small. I only wear Pearl, have 5 other pairs size M, but I had to return these for a L which are still snug. Size up if you want these shorts.

Backcountry.com Wool Hooded Jacket - Women's

Backcountry.com Wool Hooded Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 3 April 8, 2008

I just rec'd this jacket. It fits really well on top, nice long sleeves, but snug in the hips. I ordered a S which I usually wear. 5'6" and 135lbs.
The wool content is only 25% and the lining is a neoprene.
I'm not sure if I'm keeping it.
