  • Stomping Grounds:

    Minneapolis, MN
  • Bio:

Born and raised in Arizona, I spent my younger life in the south western rockies backpacking and riding the slopes in every way imaginable. Education and family connections brought me to Iowa and then Minnesota where I now reside. The winters are only as bad as you make them... thats why I cross country ski, kite board. I miss the mountains yes, but I'm taking advantage of flat windy land. In MN there are tons of triathlons, duathlons, cross country ski races and many others that I compete in.

Sugoi Merlin 2-in-1 Short - Men's

Sugoi Merlin 2-in-1 Short - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 19, 2010

Shorts fit great and with the compression interior you won't show off your legs while stretching and core workouts. The compression isn't too tight and drys very quickly... so far it has been extremely durable and I haven't seen anything in the short that makes me think it wont last.

Perfect Fit

Sugoi RSR Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Sugoi RSR Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 19, 2010

I'm very average size and weight and this shirt is perfect, it cools quick and looks great. Its also a little longer in the back hiding any crack that may be showing... The neck is a little small, but not noticeable while wearing the shirt. I own the green one and its my favorite workout shirt.

Nice Choice

Sigg Traveler Water Bottle - 0.6L

Sigg Traveler Water Bottle - 0.6L

Rating for this product: 5 February 26, 2010

Pretty small for hiking, but for quick hikes or just a water bottle at work its great... the only negative is that it dents easy, but I'd rather have it dent easy then drink out of libido decreasing plastic.

The North Face Fire Road Boa Trail Running Shoe - Men's

January 15, 2010

The one I had lasted me about a year, but at that point the tread was gone and I was using the shoes for hiking and not running.

Made in France?

Julbo Track Lite Sunglasses - Polarized, Hi Contrast and Clear Lens

Julbo Track Lite Sunglasses - Polarized, Hi Contrast and Clear Lens

Rating for this product: 4 January 15, 2010

Although I'm going to keep these glasses they are pretty poorly crafted, not that they will break easily, but the plastic must be molded where ever they make fake Oakleys. These are the first glasses I've bought that have more then one lens, and they fit pretty well so thats why I'm keeping them. The light blue is pretty original and I'm pretty confident that I'll be one of the few people wearing these during bike races this summer. Anyways they fit tight, work great for biking and running and you won't run into anyone else wearing Julbos unless you're in France.

Nice, but large

Kaenon Hard Kore Sunglasses - Polarized

Kaenon Hard Kore Sunglasses - Polarized

Rating for this product: 4 January 14, 2010

I have a skinny head (6-7/8) and these are way to big for my head that I had to return them. They did look pretty cool, but I could put my thumb between my temple and the glasses they were so wide. If you're someone that has a problem like myself don't get these glasses and go get some polarized Arnettes for half the price.

Weird, but in a good way

Orage Hans Beanie

Orage Hans Beanie

Rating for this product: 4 January 7, 2010

Fits great, but for my small head it tends to look funny if I wear it like my other beanies. This is probably a perfect beanie for a really cold hike or to wear in a bar to impress your outdoorsie friends with a company that they've never heard of.

Fits how it looks

Arc'teryx Bird Head Toque Beanie

Arc'teryx Bird Head Toque Beanie

Rating for this product: 4 January 7, 2010

I wear a size 6-7/8 --> 7 hat and this is pretty tight, but extremely warm and stays in place on your head. If you aren't used wearing a beanie your ears could hurt a little after wearing this beanie.

Love it.

Black Diamond Icon Beanie

Black Diamond Icon Beanie

Rating for this product: 5 January 7, 2010

I'm pretty picky when it comes to beanies and I own about 30. I've got a smaller head (6-7/8 --> 7) and this beanie fits just right. The back seam is barely noticeable compared to other beanies and covers your ears completely. The inner fleece is nice and the orange black diamond logo is pretty cool.

BOA... is awesome

The North Face Fire Road Boa Trail Running Shoe - Men's

The North Face Fire Road Boa Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 9, 2008

I used the earlier model and loved them so much that I bought these. First of all they don't look all that bad, and secondly they are very soft and good for people with bad feet. I broke my ankle a few years ago and wouldn't be able to run more then a mile without them. The BOA system is perfect for a true runner, you can get them tight and quickly, and they stay that way for a long time. I did break them once playing basketball, but the repair kit was only about 5+shipping. If you aren't running over 10 miles of trail a day, buy these shoes.
