Awesome shoe

Salomon XA Pro 3D Ultra Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Salomon XA Pro 3D Ultra Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 3, 2009

I love this shoe. Let me preface it, however, with the fact that I am not a trail runner. I use it for indoors in the gym. Most recently, cardio boxing class, and other indoor work-outs. It is light weight compared to what I had been wearing (ie. Nike / NorthFace). It is very nice looking, and the lacing system is truly sic. Aside from the boa system on my NorthFace, this is the slickest lacing system. It works great and stores the lace in it's own little pouch. The cushioning doesn't seem quite as thick as some, but it feels adequate, and I would think you might like the extra "feel" of the trail if you were outside running. It breathes nicely, unlike my NF's that have Gore-tex, and seem to heat up my feet too much. I am a big fan of these shoes, and will be a repeat customer, if they hold up to some wear and tear. They are too new for me to tell how durable they will be, but so far so good. I ordered 1/2 size large, as I normally do (because everyone else's shoes seem to run small). They have plently of room, and you could probably order your true foot size and be just fine.

Awesome shoes

The North Face Plasma GTX XCR Boa II Hiking Shoe - Men's

The North Face Plasma GTX XCR Boa II Hiking Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 7, 2009

I've owned these for a couple of years now. They fit perfectly and the BOA system has not failed. I do not use them for trail running, just to look good in snow and bad weather, not to mention the great traction. The wire system is great, and makes for easy on and off, especially when going to the gym. The wire has cut into the "tongue" area a little bit, but nothing to prevent me from purchasing another pair, if and when these wear out. They are warm and comfy. I give them 2 thumbs up.

Great jacket

The North Face Apex Thermal Jacket - Mens

The North Face Apex Thermal Jacket - Mens

Rating for this product: 5 November 29, 2006

I've had mine only a short while, but I am very pleased with the purchase. A great fit (roomy enough to layer underneath, yet tailored enough so as not to be bulky). Very warm and well made - good performance in wind/rain. Looks great. Probably paying a little extra for the "North Face" name, but I believe competitively priced with other performance brands. I think the collar and neck sizing are perfect. Shorter and smaller than my North Face Windwall jacket. If you are looking for a turtleneck sweater, this is not for you. If you want a serious performer to keep you warm and have good looks to boot - you can't go wrong.
