Therm-a-Rest ProLite 4 Sleeping Pad

Therm-a-Rest ProLite 4 Sleeping Pad

Rating for this product: 5 February 28, 2005

Ok, I'm cheap and stupid. I tried a lot of pads before I shelled out the dough for this one. ALL the other pads would give me a cold spot somewhere on my body in the middle of the night while snow camping, causing a restless sleep. I've never come close to feeling even a coolness anywhere on my body with this pad! At altitude you can blow a few puffs of air in to give it that extra support/insulation. Another bonus is this pad is one of the lightest and will roll up so small. I was able to compress it further by putting two straps around the diameter when it was rolled up. You wont be disappointed!

Black Diamond I-Tent Standard: 2-Person 4-Season

Black Diamond I-Tent Standard: 2-Person 4-Season

Rating for this product: 5 February 28, 2005

This tent sets up in seconds, compresses down to the size of a large coffee can, weighs just over 4lbs (compared to other serious 4 season tents which come in at around 10-lbs!) This is such a serious snow tent I'm not sure I want to use it for anything other than snow camping. But I'm going to give it a try in the spring. If it proves to be too much I'll start calling it a one season tent. But for now it's exactly what I was looking for.
