Great for laptops, not so great for outdoors

Columbia Science Park Cyberpack - 2500 cu in

Columbia Science Park Cyberpack - 2500 cu in

Rating for this product: 4 January 30, 2007

This backpack has lots of room for packing your laptop and tons of additional items. The main storage compartment is very large. It has other smaller pouches which come in handy for items that require easy access. One pouch should fit power cords which are smaller than mine. I have a fairly bulky power cord for my bulky HP laptop and the power cord does not fit any of the exterior pockets, but you should have more than enough room in the main compartment for your power source. As I mentioned, I have a fairly bulky HP laptop and it fits well in the laptop compartment. I really like the side access to the laptop compartment. One thing negative about the bag is that the straps are too thin. They are well insulated; however when you load this bag to capacity with heavy items, the width of the straps causes some discomfort in the shoulders after extensive wear with heavy loads. If you want a laptop bag for use on campus with a lot of room for stuff, this is your bag. However, if you want a bag that you can load down and wear on your back for long walks then you should look elsewhere. Targus has great ergonomically designed laptop bags that distribute the strain of the weight to your upper back and shoulders.

The best sunglassses

Smith Threshold Interchangeable Sunglasses - Polarized

Smith Threshold Interchangeable Sunglasses - Polarized

Rating for this product: 5 January 25, 2007

These are the best sunglasses that I have ever owned. I purchased them for my African Safari, which I have yet to go on, however since I misplaced my military issued Oakley’s, I used the Smith's to run with on a very bright and windy day in Iraq. They stayed on my face and kept the sand and wind from affecting my vision. Best of all, they are so light weight that you don't feel them on your face, if anything you notice them when you are not wearing them and wish you had, as I did the next morning, during my pitch black early morning run. The sun was gone but the wind was still kicking, I regretted leaving them behind. BTW, I still haven't found my Oakley's, but I am not looking too hard for them because changing out the lenses on the Oakley’s is like wrestling a very small alligator that will break easily if you don't do it right. With the Smith's, all you do is slide the lenses in and out of the frame, way easier!

These are great sunglasses. I love the interchangeable lenses; you get 4 sunglasses in one. However, they do not come with a protective case. Overall- great quality and value.

Nice but too narrow

The North Face Adrenaline Gore-Tex XCR Mid Hiking Shoe - Women's

The North Face Adrenaline Gore-Tex XCR Mid Hiking Shoe - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 January 3, 2007

These boots are nice, they are very well made and I am sure that they would perform on any hiking trail. However, they are very narrow and I was unable to keep them. I replaced them with the XCR Pynyon which are a little bit shorter than the Adrenalin, yet wide enough for me.
