Salomon XA Pro 3D Ultra GTX Trail Running Shoe - Women's

Salomon XA Pro 3D Ultra GTX Trail Running Shoe - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 September 21, 2009

I bought these after returning some Merrell trail shoes, size 8.5, that were painful. I normally wear an 8, but the Merrells were too tight. These were recommended to me because of the large toe box, and I tried them. They are awesome. However, I needed a 7.5, a smaller size than any pair of shoes I own. So, you might want to size down when ordering.

Great stuff

Outside Baby Two Layer Windproof Jacket - Infant Girls'

Outside Baby Two Layer Windproof Jacket - Infant Girls'

Rating for this product: 5 December 1, 2008

We bought the matching jacket and pants and find it perfect for outdoor excursions with our baby. it's warm but not too hot. The outside repels splashes from our dog and light rain. It also cuts wind. The hood is fleece lined and cinches up tight for those times when we don't have a hat with us. I like the fact that the pants roll down for when she gets taller. Plus, she looks snazzy in it!

Sizing way off

Patagonia Synchilla Booties - Infants'

Patagonia Synchilla Booties - Infants'

Rating for this product: 2 December 1, 2008

We had a pair of these in size M given as a gift that were too big for her. According to the size chart, we needed a size S for our 7 month-old. What we got, however, were some booties three times bigger than the Mediums we already had! I looked at the tag and it clearly said "S 6-10M" These are either mislabled for they are a child's small, not an infant's. I'm not really sure what to put on the star rating, because I'm sure we would love the product if they were the right size.

Serves Many Purposes--and Stylish!

The North Face Apex Bionic Jacket - Women's

The North Face Apex Bionic Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 December 19, 2006

This jacket is really great for the mild, windy, and damp winters in the South. I can see wearing the Apex Bionic Jacket from October to March. It blocks wind and repels light rain and collateral splashing. It's a great weight for being active on a chilly day. It's fairly slim-fitting, so I like wearing a long-sleeve thin hoodie underneath rather than a fleece or sweater. The long dip in back is great for biking, and the sleeves keep gusts of wind out at the wrist. This jacket seems to be cut to fit a taller person than me (5' 4"), so the sleeves are a little long, and they can't really be rolled back or pushed up the arm because of the stiffness of the fabric. A small issue, really. I get compliments on this jacket every time I wear it. Backcountry.com sells it at the lowest prices anywhere. I highly recommend it!

Soft with a comfy fit

Mountain Hardwear Butter Hooded Sweatshirt - Women's

Mountain Hardwear Butter Hooded Sweatshirt - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 December 19, 2006

This is an incredible product. It is extremely soft and breathes. It has a high neck that keeps out drafts but doesn't restrict like a turtleneck. The real difference between this and similar hoodies from other outdoor outfitters is the loose fit around the middle. What a nice change from the usual sausage casing outdoor wear. I actually sleep in mine sometimes. Highly recommended.
