This jacket RULES

Arc'teryx Fission LT Hoody - Men's

Arc'teryx Fission LT Hoody - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 January 30, 2007

After spending years layering for cold weather, I really wanted a jacket that I could just through on over a T shirt. I was debating between synthetic and down, but I really wanted something that I could ski in and also wear around town without the puffy look of down. Most synthetic jackets weren't going to be warm enough, but this one is awesome. I wear it around town and on the slopes and it keeps me warm in any condition, and because it is synthetic and not down, I get the warmth I want without being so puffed up, and vulnerable to rain and snow.

These things are sexy

Black Diamond Camalot C4's

Black Diamond Camalot C4's

Rating for this product: 5 January 30, 2007

I added a few of these c4s to my rack about a year ago. I was first amazed by the weight. For their size they are so much lighter than older camalots. They are also so smooth. I have used them in the classic monzo granite of J-tree to the smooth sandstone of Red Rocks, and these babies were worth their weight in gold.

Great all around

Metolius Safe Tech Deluxe Harness - Men's

Metolius Safe Tech Deluxe Harness - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 30, 2007

I have been a belay slave, a route setter, and a guide. This harness has been great on the ground, hang doggin, and even good for those long whippers. Easy on, easy off, and comfortable all day.

Best shoe out there

Five Ten Moccasym Climbing Shoe

Five Ten Moccasym Climbing Shoe

Rating for this product: 5 January 30, 2007

Every climber could use this shoe in their arsenal. Whether gym climbing, bouldering, or flailing on a new sport route, this shoe is super comfortable and gives a good climber great footwork. I have gone through 2 pairs of this shoe already and this will be my third. I love it, and when I hit the rocks, this shoe will definitely be in my pack.

great for guiding

Five Ten Guide Tennie Approach Shoe - Men's

Five Ten Guide Tennie Approach Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 January 30, 2007

I have been a rock guide for several years and I wanted a shoe that I could wear to have secure friction on the rock and also demo a few climbs for my clients. After using this shoe, I was very please with the friction I receive, I would expect nothing less than spectacular from FiveTen. However the shoe construction was falling apart way too quickly. The sole on the toe box was peeling off after some light rock scrambling and hiking. I love the shoe for guiding, but wouldn't use it for anything too technical.

Good for day touring

Necky Chatham 17 Composite Kayak

Necky Chatham 17 Composite Kayak

Rating for this product: 4 January 30, 2007

This boat is great for beginner and intermediate paddlers. It is wide enough for most people to feel stable in and has a good size cockpit for beginners. It has good tracking and lots of speed, which makes long days easy on the body.

Really fun boat

Perception Eclipse Series Kayak w/ Rudder

Perception Eclipse Series Kayak w/ Rudder

Rating for this product: 5 January 30, 2007

This kayak was great. I spent two weeks paddling in Baja California, and this was definitely a comfortable boat to be in. Great for any paddler. Stable for beginners and bigger paddlers, but still fun to play around in. Got my first offside role in this boat.

Nice

Patagonia R1 Granular Jacket - Men's

Patagonia R1 Granular Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 January 30, 2007

This is the first patagonia item to fit me really well. I am tall and thin and their stuff is either too short on the sleeves and torso or too wide for me. This is actually fairly form fitting and still long enough on the sleeves and torso to keep me happy. I got this primarily for a good top layer in cool conditions, but it actually works really well as a mid layer too. Pretty thin insulation, but still warm enough for mild weather.

Awesome all mountain ride

Rossignol Bandit B2 Alpine Ski

Rossignol Bandit B2 Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 5 January 25, 2007

This is a great ski for any terrain. I was on a much older pair of Rossi's, and when I made the switch the first thing I noticed was how much lighter they felt. Good shape and width for handling any groomed run and powder trail. Love this ski.

Excellent layer

Arc'teryx Tau Pullover - Men's

Arc'teryx Tau Pullover - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 25, 2007

This shirt is really sweet. Not very bulky but still warm enough to wear skiing with a hardshell over it. But also light enough to wear on cool fall or spring days. Love this as a top or mid layer in for any cool weather activity.
