CamelBak StoAway Reservoir

I have used this bladder for 3 years and it still has no leaks. I did have to eventually replace the bite valve, but that seems reasonable. Don't tighten the lid too tight or you might need an impact wrench to get it off....

Perception Carolina Series Kayaks

Perception Carolina Series Kayaks

Rating for this product: 5 December 20, 2006

The Carolina 14 footer has served me for many, many miles of paddling on the Green and Colorado rivers. It is stable enough to kneel and access the gear in back while floating, or just kick back and let your feet dangle in river and watch the tamarisk drift by. Yet, it's aslo sleek enough that when the afternoon headwinds pickup, you'll get to camp before the bullfrogs start croakin' without doing any yourself. The only thing that I didn't like was that the bulkheads began leaking after about a year, but some silicone caulk has fixed that. It was probably from some off the rough roads I have bounced this boat down in the years of service it has given me.

The North Face Elysium Jacket - Men's

The North Face Elysium Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 15, 2006

This coat is what a down jacket should be. Warm, compressible, light, and comfortable. I am 6'2" with a 34' waist and 200 lbs. It fits perfect. Even the sleeves are long enough for me.

The North Face Apex Free Line Jacket - Men's

The North Face Apex Free Line Jacket - Men's

The stretch factor is just amazing in this coat. It has a fitted cut, but you don't notice it with how nice and stretchy it is. I am 6'2" and 200 pounds and the L fits perfectly. The arms are plenty long for me, so they might be a little long if you are short. Bomber seams too.

Must Have

SmartWool Ski Racing Light Sock

SmartWool Ski Racing Light Sock

Rating for this product: 5 December 15, 2006

These socks are so nice to my tired, tired feet that spend hours jammed into boots that are too small. They are great for keeping your feet warm without too much bulk. The Merino wool feels awesome!
