Nice Pants!

Mountain Hardwear Talus Pant - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Talus Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 July 24, 2009

I wanted to give these pants a little use before I actually used them. I'm 5'6'' and 130 pounds and the small fits very nice, although the inseam maybe just a little too long, it's nothing too major though, especially for you taller folks. I took these pants fishing for a day and they kept me comfortable from the morning cold to the mid day heat. I also took it on an overnight backpacking trip and they held up pretty well throughout. I didn't experience any tearing or coming apart of the hem around the ankles or excessive stretching like some of these other reviews but then again I may not have used them as much yet. Overall, the fit is great and these pants seem quite durable.

The North Face Apex Elixir Softshell Pant - Men's

June 7, 2009

I am debating whether to get these or the mountain hardwear talus pants. Anyone have experience with both and if so which one would you recommend for hiking through light-moderate weather?

Nice Jacket for the Money

Mountain Hardwear Epic Jacket - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Epic Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 10, 2009

Ordered a small (5'6'' 130 pounds) and it fits just a tad bit big, but that's perfectly fine because I need to layer underneath it. I live in Southern California so it doesn't rain much here but i had a chance to test it out today during one of our few rain storms. It kept the rain out pretty well. I ordered it as a go to jacket for hiking just to stash in my pack just in case the weather turns sour. Its good enough that I'll probably also use it occasionally snowboarding over a light base layer as it doesn't really get too cold here. Nice jacket overall.

Nice Jacket

Mountain Hardwear Tanglewood Softshell Jacket - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Tanglewood Softshell Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 June 20, 2008

I got this jacket in the Galaxy blue color. It's a really nice color and pretty much looks exactly like the picture. I'm a little on the short side and the small fits me okay. (5'6'' and 135 pounds). The front is cut a little short and the bottom kind of squeezes in without even tightening the waist draw cords, but overall I am very happy with this jacket.
