Liberty Double Helix Ski

Liberty Double Helix Ski

Rating for this product: 5 October 23, 2009

For a ski this fat it handles surprisingly well on groomers. If you want a pow ski that can still shred everywhere else this is the one. If you want one ski that can do it all I would take a look at the Helix, but if you prefer a fat ski, or just a pow ski that handles well even when you're not in the deep, this is great. The flex is perfect, not too soft, not too stiff. The Bamboo core is light, responsive and maintains it's shape. Whether you send big cliffs or jumps, ski tight chutes, or open bowls, this ski will be solid. Another great product from Liberty.

Solid... anywhere!

Liberty Helix Ski

Liberty Helix Ski

Rating for this product: 5 October 23, 2009

This is my all time favorite ski. In terms of flex and dimensions it's perfect for an everyday ski. The mini rocker is just enough to get a little extra float in powder while still letting it perform well on groomers. I have mine at 2 centimeters behind center and they shred well anywhere from the trees to the park to pow to booters. After skiing a ski with a bamboo core, I don't think i'll ever go back to traditional wood again. Liberty killed it with this one!

GSI Outdoor Pinnacle Soloist Cookset

GSI Outdoor Pinnacle Soloist Cookset

Rating for this product: 5 June 21, 2009

I used this set for a few days on a backpacking trip in the Uintas and it was great. My stove and fuel (jetboil canister) can fit into it, so it packs down really small and saves space in my pack. The flip up/lock handle is a great feature, super easy to use, and worked great. Also, the little stuff sack that doubles as a basin to wash your stuff in was quite useful too. The included spork isn't the sturdiest, but I would get one of those 3 in 1 knife/fork/spoon combos anyway.

Great socks. They're really comfortable, and have been durable thus far. The sizing chart was really accurate so I suggest using it if you don't know your size.

Black Diamond GlideLite Nylon STS Skins

Black Diamond GlideLite Nylon STS Skins

Rating for this product: 5 February 26, 2009

They worked just as they're designed to for me. I haven't taken them up anything extremely steep yet, but more most skin trails around Grizzly Gulch, UT they've been perfect. Easy to cut, and the tip/tail attachments work like a charm.

Liberty Hazmat Alpine Ski

January 5, 2009

Rich,Both of those skis would be a great option, but I would go with the Liberty Hazmat over the Prophet 90. They're a little bit livelier due to the bamboo core, and not quite as heavy. They have a more fun ride overall.

Great skis! Versatile.

Liberty Hazmat Alpine Ski

Liberty Hazmat Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 5 January 5, 2009

The flex and dimensions of the hazmat makes them just about the most versatile ski out there. Whether you ski park, groomers, trees, open bowls, or even bumps from time to time they're perfect. Super light and lively bamboo core that maintains it's camber and pop for years. It doesn't crap out right away like some wood cores do. Overall if you ski the entire mountain look no further... grab a pair of these sticks and I guarantee you'll love them.

Best ski around.

Liberty Helix Alpine Ski

Liberty Helix Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 5 November 26, 2008

This ski is absolutely killer. 105 underfoot makes it float plenty well in powder, while still keeping it narrow enough to rip groomers, park, and blow through crud. The bamboo core is the poppiest core I've ever skied. It's really playful, agile, and just pops. Mine are mounted 2cm behind center. I've used them on everything from BC jumps, to steep pow, to the park and they worked well.

Big Agnes Clearview Air Pad

Big Agnes Clearview Air Pad

Rating for this product: 5 November 3, 2008

It's the first sleeping pad that I've ever owned, but it's gotten the job done for several trips. I used it mostly in the summer time, but it was comfortable, easy to blow up, and didn't deflate halfway through the night.

Montrail Ilikai Sandal - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 July 21, 2008

So these things are awesome! They're heat moldable so fit/form to your foot right away. They're super durable, and offer about as much traction as my trail runners. I've ended up on 5 mile hikes with them and they didn't great.
I have the all black, and they look good with any shorts or pants I have too.

Scarpa Veloce Climbing Shoe

Scarpa Veloce Climbing Shoe

Rating for this product: 5 April 19, 2007

These shoes are awesome. I've used them a few times since I've had them; primarily bouldering and they've been great. The two pull straps on the back make them a flash to get on. the velro is super easy to get a good fit and awesome for bouldering when you're constantly taking them off and moving to new problems. I have a medium-wide foot and wear a 8.5 or 9 in regular shoes, and opted for the 40 in this shoe. It's a pretty good fit.

This stuff is awesome. I have Fate Clothing outerwear, and I'm not exactly sure of what the material is, but it made it good as new. I totally recommend it to anyone. Just follow the directions, and be sure to use both the Detergent and the DWR.

WOW! Amazing Pack.

Osprey Packs Switch 26 Pack - 1500-1700cu in

Osprey Packs Switch 26 Pack - 1500-1700cu in

Rating for this product: 5 November 21, 2006

Of all the items I've purchased this year, this is my favorite. This pack has so many features that I can't believe any other packs don't have them. First off, the helmet pocket on top is sick. No more clipping your helmet onto your pack, and having it dangle around hitting stuff, and getting caught on things. Inside the stretchable helmet pocket is a goggle pocket, so your goggles are safe inside your helmet. It's hydration compatible which is awesome. The pockets on the hip belt are so handy, from anything from a camera, to small snack, to your cell phone. You can carry your skis either diagonally or A-Frame style..... however you prefer. The main compartment is split into two (a wet side and dry side). You can keep your shovel in one side, and not worry about your other things (cloths, blanket, etc) getting wet. It's AWESOME. Whether you rock day trips in the BC, or just around the resort, This is a great pack. GET ONE!

Darn Tough In-Country Boot Sock Full Cushion DO NOT USE

Darn Tough In-Country Boot Sock Full Cushion DO NOT USE

Rating for this product: 5 October 30, 2006

These socks are super warm. They're a little thicker in the toes and heel so they're really durable, and offer a little more cushioning. I totally recommend these to anyone who skis, snowboards or spends any time out in cold weather.
