Best Powder Skis Ever!!

Volkl Kuro Alpine Ski

Volkl Kuro Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 5 December 29, 2008

Just got back from skiing some really nice powder conditions. They look intimidating at first but they absolutely rip on the groomers and I had the best time in the powder with them, by far the best powder ski I've been on!!! You need to get up to speed though to really enjoy these skis. I mounted them tele (I'm a hard charging teleskier) and only make tele turns, these skis rock!! Very easy to ski, amazingly gets on edge on groomers. I was a little hesistant at first, cause it's quite heavier than my tele skis, but what a joy to ski. Love'em!!! Wait till you hear the comments in the lift line, it's hilarious!

NTN Telemark Ski Binding

Backcountry Access NTN Telemark Ski Binding

Backcountry Access NTN Telemark Ski Binding

Rating for this product: 5 December 28, 2007

Had a chance to use it both in powder and hard pack. It all depends on what cartridge and the setting you use. A very powerful binding. It took awhile to get used to. Once you start to put the uphill ski back it edges right away, even before I could slide the ski back for the turn. Once I played with the binding settings (blue on #2), it made a world of a difference. The touring mode is the best I ever used. It's very easy to get in and out of and the Scarpa boot works perfectly with the binding. Highly recommended. This binding rocks!
