Fishing PFDs aren't made for intense activity and the pockets are designed for fishing specific tools/tackle. You'll get better mobility and universal pockets with something like the NRS Clearwater Life Jacket - http://www.backcountry.com/store/NRS0026/NRS-Clearwater-Life-Jacket.html

My wife has the Woman's version it's the same coziness on the inside as the outside. This is one of her favorite jackets hands down - that says a lot considering how many she has ;).
