Good lightweight pot.

Backcountry.com Titanium Pot w/ Lid - 700ml

Backcountry.com Titanium Pot w/ Lid - 700ml

Rating for this product: 4 November 19, 2009

No real complaints about it. It worked well. I was able to fit a 110g fuel canister and my Snow Peak LiteMax Stove into it with a little room to spare. The sack it comes with is quite nice as well. It makes it easy to secure the pot shut. Perhaps I will upload some pictures when I get the chance. The reason I gave this product 4 instead of 5 stars is that it doesn't have volume "hash" marks on the interior or exterior of the pot. So it was a little difficult to measure the right amount of water for my Mountain House goodness.

MontBell Extremely Light Down Jacket - Men's

MontBell Extremely Light Down Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 19, 2009

This jacket is incredibly light. It comes with a stuff sack that seems to be made out of the same material as the jacket. It is feather light. I wore it at camp in the morning and nights, with only a base layer underneath. The temperature was in the mid-to-high 30's and low 40's. I stayed very comfortable. No complaints what so ever from this product. Mont-Bell hit the nail on the head with this one.

La Sportiva FC 1.1 Hiking Shoe - Men's

October 13, 2009

I am looking for a good pair of light weight hiking shoes. I am in the process of going light-weight. I primarily hike/backpack in the Appalachian regions of NC, SC, and GA. How quickly do these dry? Are they true to size? How is the arch support? I have fairly moderate case of plantar fasciitis and therefore need GOOD arch support, along the lines of what a pair of Chaco sandals offers. Are there any advantages of the Gore-Tex version of this shoe aside from the immediate obvious?

Great.

Sea To Summit Seam Sealed Stuff Sack

Sea To Summit Seam Sealed Stuff Sack

Rating for this product: 5 May 5, 2009

I bought two of these, size medium. I used one for my sleeping bag (Marmot Pinnacle) and another for my clothing. This item kept both completely dry in multiple down pours. The construction and materials are superior. Sea to Summit has hit the nail on the head with this item. Keep in mind, however, that is is not 100% submersible. There is no way to completely seal the opening, so it might not be a good choice for activities such as kayaking. But, for backpacking, I don't think you can find a higher quality stuff sack.

Great jacket.

The North Face Venture Jacket - Men's

The North Face Venture Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 May 5, 2009

Great jacket. The only reason I that I am not giving it a 5 star rating is that I wish it was a little bit lighter and that I could pack it down a little bit smaller. But that is only because I am slowly becoming more and more conscious about weight and space in my pack. However, the construction, materials, quality, etc. are superior on this item. For an everyday rain jacket this item is excellent.

Works Great

Outdoor Research Lightweight Pack Cover

Outdoor Research Lightweight Pack Cover

Rating for this product: 5 May 5, 2009

It works great. I have an Osprey Aether 70. The large size worked great. It kept all of my gear dry. It is relatively light weight and packs down fairly small. I was very satisfied with this item. It kept my pack dry through a night of down pouring rain and while hiking during the day. I would definitely recommend this item.
