    Pacific Northwest
  • Bio:

I love the outdoors, I would like to try pretty much anything. I work full time and go to school full time so I dont have a lot of time for the outdoors. Any free time I have though, I'm not inside. My biggest passion would have to be skiing. I have been skiing for 15 years and crave it everyday. I wish it was winter 365 days a year. When I am not tearing down the slopes, I am camping, backpacking, wakeboarding, or mountain biking.

Great Pack

The North Face Recon Se Backpack - 1830cu in

The North Face Recon Se Backpack - 1830cu in

Rating for this product: 5 September 22, 2008

I use this pack for everything. School, overnight bag, camping, or just going out. It has all the little pen holders and an area for school stuff. It has a pocket that you could put a laptop or even a camel back into, depending on what you are using that bag for. There are plenty of little pockets all over the bag. The hip belt is nice if you are going to take it on a day hike or something of that nature. The highly recommend this pack for anyone to use for almost anything.

Really Good

Mountain House Lasagna with Meat Sauce - 1 Serving Entree

Mountain House Lasagna with Meat Sauce - 1 Serving Entree

Rating for this product: 5 September 22, 2008

The lasagna was really good, it was a little bit soupy but that wasn't a problem for us. I am sure if you just let it sit a little longer and let some of the water evaporate it would be fine. The flavor was great though!!

Very Filling

Mountain House Rice and Chicken - 2 Serving Entree

Mountain House Rice and Chicken - 2 Serving Entree

Rating for this product: 5 September 22, 2008

This meal was very filling and refreshing. After a day of hiking sitting down and eat some warm chicken and rice was the best thing. You need to make sure you let it sit long enough to let all of the rice cook. The first time we opened it, the rice was not all the way done. All in all, a good meal.

Awesome Pack

Gregory Deva 60 Backpack - Women's - 3500-3900cu in

Gregory Deva 60 Backpack - Women's - 3500-3900cu in

Rating for this product: 5 September 22, 2008

I bought this pack for my wife, who had never been backpacking before. She said it was awesome! It was a little uncomfortable about mile two or three but with a few adjustments, she was fine. There are so many little things to adjust to customize it an individuals needs. The waterbottle pocket was also really handy. Her sleeping bag fit fine inside it's compartment and she even was able to carry the extra weight of the dogs water and food. (I carried the tent). I do recomend this pack for any woman.

Very Adjustable

Gregory Deva 60 Backpack - Women's - 3500-3900cu in

Gregory Deva 60 Backpack - Women's - 3500-3900cu in

Rating for this product: 5 September 22, 2008

I bought this pack for my wife and she loves it! We went on a 14 mile overnight trip and it was her first one. The pack was a little uncomfortable at about mile three but with a few adjustments she was feeling better. The sleeping bag compartment is nice becasue you have access to it without moving any other gear. The water bottle pocket is also really handy. There are A LOT of adjustments that you can make to get that perfect fit. Even the torso length has two settings. There are plenty of pockets all over the bag and the front access in addition to the top access is really handy. I highly recomend this pack for all women!

Good Shorts

Oakley Compression Short - Men's

Oakley Compression Short - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 September 19, 2008

These are good shorts. They are comfortable and the spandex liner gives you nice support. I do agree with the other reviews that they would be better if they had a little zipper pocket or somewhere to put a key. Another thing I noticed is that they shrunk a decent amount in the dryer, FYI. I never notice being hot or sweating excessively so they breathe well. They also have an elastic band in the waist to adjust size. These are all around a good short, and dont look half bad at the bar after a ride.

Great Pad

Therm-a-Rest Ridge Rest Sleeping Pad

Therm-a-Rest Ridge Rest Sleeping Pad

Rating for this product: 5 September 19, 2008

This pad is a good deal for the price. Yes it is a little bulky but if you want something smaller then go spend 75-100 bucks on an air pad. I used this in about 35 degree weather at night and the unsulated very well.
The ground was also very hard and I slept like a baby all night. For its bulkyness, it is very light. I just strapped it to the outside of my pack and it worked great. I would recommend this pad for anybody who doesn't want to spend 75 bucks on an airpad and doesn't mind a little bulkyness.

Awesome Pants

Columbia Omni-Dry Silver Ridge Cargo Pant - Men's

Columbia Omni-Dry Silver Ridge Cargo Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 September 19, 2008

These pants work phenomenally on my recent backpacking trip. I orginally bought a pair at a local outdoor store and they didn't fit right so I ordered a pair off of here. The whole 14 miles, they breathed awesome, They are very lightweight and feel like you are wearing almost nothing. There are plenty of little pockets all over to store little nicknacks that you want on the trail. I do recomend these pants!

Gregory Baltoro 70 Backpack - 4149-4638cu in

Rating for this product: 5 September 10, 2008

I am new to backpacking and on my first trip we went 14 miles and the pack felt great the whole way. I carried about 35lbs including my wife and I's tent, my sleeping bag, 2L of water in camel back, clothes, three 4 serving meals, snacks, and a lot of other stuff I didn't even use. There are plenty of pockets to store all of your nicknacks in. There are plenty of adjustments to get the perfect fit. I highly recommend this pack!
