Spare Joe Bike Rack

Yakima Spare Joe

Yakima Spare Joe

Rating for this product: 5 November 15, 2006

Works quite well. It was easy to set up on the trailer spare tire. I made a shim from a 2 X 2 that I secured between the back of the tire and the rack part that hooks around the tire so that the front of the rack was pulled closer to the front of the tire. In this way, the bike rested closer to the tire which put stress on everything due to less leverage. My tire is not small-- LT215/75R15. I took a 1000 mile plus trip and the rack was great. It didn't loosen or give any problems.
