This is an excellent lightweight frame pack for day hikes or lightweight camping. I have taken this pack on a 4 day trip through Glacier as well as a long bike trip. This pack worked perfectly for both trips and I couldn't be happier. Although there is not much to the frame and suspension, it carries weight very well and is very comfortable. This pack remains lightweight while still keeping convenient stash pockets and gear loops which really helps keep gear organized and accessible. My favorite feature of this pack is its breathability. The mesh back and straps allow sweat and moisture to escape quickly without compromising shoulder and waist strap comfort. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone. Definitely my favorite pack for day hikes and lightweight camping.

There have been several comments about a lack of durability and I have not experienced any of this. Like all barometer watches, it does take constant calibration to remain accurate, but this is to be expected. I am totally satisfied with the performance and craftsmanship, and it has help up excellently for all my adventures.

Simply put: I won't go out into the backcountry without the Patagonia Down Sweater. It is amazingly warm, incredibly light, and packs down to nothing. If the weather is questionable at all, I throw it in the pack and feel completely equipped for wind, snow, and even light rain (thanks to the DWR). I don't know how I ever did without this essential layer from Patagonia.
My only gripe: I am 6'5" (and hence have a freaky long torso), and have a size large, which fits well, except for the torso length. I wish they had a tall version.

Forget down. I don't care about the extra weight or space when I think about the warmth and coziness that awaits me with this fleece. Very very warm. Wicks very well too. These combine to create a very comfortable experience, whether hoofin it up for a descent or just chillin. Its pretty classy too which will be sure to score you a few more points with the wilderness women.

I freakin sweat like a hawaiian pig in preparation for a luau and I can count on the cap 2 to keep me dry and comfortable.

Before a hike, I always spent a ton of time calculating out how dry the trails would be to decide which shoe/boot I should wear. If it was spring time, or if rains were expected I would begrudgingly dust off the heavy hiking boots for their one redeeming quality - waterproofness. I hate these boots. With the Salomon's in my closet I don't have to worry about trail conditions. I am ready for anything. They are amazingly waterproof thanks to the Gore-Tex, have great grip, are comfortable, and do a great job at keeping my naturally sweaty feet dry. Oh and don't worry about grinding your palms off on the trail because of your shoes coming untied - these shoes have an excellent Quickfit lacing that hasn't failed me.

Pros: With the massive 111mm underfoot, slight reverse camber, and reduced tail size, these skis are unstoppable on anything soft! They float high in powder, smear and slash pretty well, and bust trough any type of crud. These things even carve amazingly well on soft groomers! I would find any excuse to ride these skis.
Cons: The only conditions I wouldn't use these on are icy or hard pack. They suck. Can't keep an edge. Also they are not durable. I skied these 10 times (5 just touring) and the top sheet started peeling off, the edges cracked out in two separate spots, and the powder channels started chipping out. I took excellent care of these skis and yet they couldn't hold up. Lame.
Excellent ski for soft snow, but doesn't stand up to much.

Mounting: If you are a hardcore big mountain only skier, then the standard mounting marker is for you. If you do this, the ski has NO TAIL. For more of a freeride ski mount it 4-6cm forward.
