  • Stomping Grounds:

East Coast (NJ) Ride PA and VT mostly, but head out west once or twice a year
  • Bio:

I learned to ski when I was real young but switched to riding in 2003 and haven't gone back since. I primarily love big mountain riding and going through glades, but still have some urge deep down to be park rattish... I think I just may be too old now :D

Awesome Pants

686 Smarty Complete 2.5 Ply Pant - Men's

686 Smarty Complete 2.5 Ply Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 7, 2008

Unfortunately for me, I own these pants in black .. and I love wearing bright bright colors when I ride. However, on very cold days or deep powder days these are the pants I take out with me. These pants keep me dry and toasty on the inside, fit nice without getting in the way of my riding and even strap into my 686 smarty jacket. In short, these are the pants i bring out for serious riding and I highly recommend them. Looks like you can even snag them in red now which means I might have to pick up a second pair.

Oakley A Frame Goggle

Oakley A Frame Goggle

Rating for this product: 5 November 7, 2008

Finley already touched on the majority of the points I would have made. I just wanted to add that after owning these goggles for 4 years and wearing them a ton they are still in great shape and do not fog. I have these with the blue iridium lenses that are shown in the picture and they work great and look great for me here on the east coast.

Highly versatile + Highly durable

Never Summer SL Rocker/Camber Snowboard

Never Summer SL Rocker/Camber Snowboard

Rating for this product: 5 November 7, 2008

I own last years SL, so I can't speak for the new Rocker tech, but I imagine the board is mostly the same. That said, it is an amazing and versatile board. I personally like to ride big mountians but live on the east coast... so I fool around a lot while going down smaller trails and the SL is an amazingly smooth and forgiving board. Great for butters and catching some air, but also agile enough to take through thick trees. I also have taken the board out west and hit up a lot of the CO resorts, and it definitely holds its own in deep pow as well. The thing I stress most about never summer in general however is the quality of their boards. My friends and I are bigger guys weighing ~200lb (not fat, we lift :D) and we also ride hard and these boards def. keep up. I have seen never summer boards knock up against rocks pretty hard and keep going and looking new after a fresh coat of wax. If you are an intermediate rider who is stuck between a free-ride/freestyle board I highly recommend this board. While it is not the best at either, it is very good at both.

Love these gloves

DAKINE Bronco Glove

DAKINE Bronco Glove

Rating for this product: 4 November 7, 2008

These gloves feel awesome and are low profile so the cuffs of my jacket fit nicely over them. They are great for 20 degree to spring weather, however for super cold days you will want to bring some heat packs. After two seasons of frequent and hard riding the fingers on mine have frayed a bit and I probably need to replace these. Still... for the price, these gloves cost me less than a dollar a day to own and were well worth it.
