Great jacket. If you do any touring and want a light shell to throw over your softshell when you summit. This is it. Very light packable and pretty waterproof. Of if you just want a super light shell to roll in a the resort. Super sick style.
I had issues with the waterproofing out of the box but after giving it a new waterproofing-wash it has been incredible.
I get comments on the steez all the time. I would give five stars if I didn't have to waterproof it myself.
Since then I have had it out in blizzards and it has been great. I have even wore it fly fishing in light rain.

I have had the jacket for a year, one of my buddies talked me into getting it after him giving testimonials about river guiding in a snow storm when other guides put on their down he reached for the driclime. Amazing jacket!! It is so versatile, blocks out extreme cold and wind to a chilly summer night camping jacket. Layers wonderfully, I love it and plan to get another, great colors! I find my wife steeling it to use when she jogs summer mornings. Fits true to size. Oh and if it gets wet it dries super fast!

The Good: Love the jacket, have used it here in Utah for both a layering tool in the winter and jogging/biking in the spring/fall. Very pleased with its performance. Breathable, sheds water and rear pocket is great for an ipod when jogging.
The Bad: The fit is terrible, I am 5’9” 160lbs. and always order Med. but ordered the large because I had read another review about the jacket stating it was rather tight. I couldn't have done the med., the Chest is great for a med sized guy but the length in the torso is sooo short and the arm length is sooo long…disproportional, unless you’re a gorilla.

Puff Rider Jacket

Patagonia Puff Rider Jacket - Men's

Patagonia Puff Rider Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 January 16, 2007

I have had the Puff Rider Jacket for a year now in Utah. I am a classic Medium kind of build and it fits me great. Athletic fit, baggy but no Hip-Hop look. Very warm and when I say warm, I mean toasty. If you are the kind of person that freezes get this rig cuz you’ll never have a cold day again. That makes the jacket rad but it is a drawback because I would constantly overheat in it. If it had pit-zips it would have been a 4.5. Now the powder skirt, super lame (poor design). Patagonia dropped the ball on this one in my opinion, if you are gonna do a powder skirt go for it! Don’t do it half way.
