This silkweight is so lightweight you feel you have nothing on. It also wicks moisture from the skin quicker than anything I have ever tried. I took this on an overnight and normally I get cold because I am still wet from hiking and the shirt I wear has not wicked any moisture away. If you want something that is lightweight, works and looks cool about town, buy this.

Looking for something lightweight-well this is it, some backpacks you get lightweight without comfort, but this is not the case with this backpack(women’s version). Also 3000cu in is just enough for the weekend. The shoulder pads and hip belt still have really good padding without cutting into you. Cool thing with this product, extra straps and a key pocket.

This tent is lightweight and versatile. Great for overnight's. This had plenty of room for me and my backpack, large side doors with inside out zippers, so no problems getting in or out. This is not free standing so tighten the pegs down so there is no sagging.

I used the women’s version, which is smaller in cubic inches, about 3000/3300. This is one of the best weekend backpacks I have used for comfort. It has padded shoulders that taper in and a padded hip belt that covers most of the hip. The micro adjustments really help on a long trail to adjust the weight where needed. This is one of the best stoves I have used, not the most lightweight, but always reliable, I would rather carry a few ounces more knowing that my stove will work. Every once in a while make sure to clean it to avoid flare ups. The only thing I have to maintain is the pump. There is a leather washer that needs to be oiled. But my stove is going on 3 years and going.

This boot is what Lexus is to cars- comfort. I always get blisters, not this time, it has a wide toe box, but still has a good feel to the boot. It has lots of ventilation so your feet don't overheat. I used this on a good day hike.

Backpacking has many delight's. Food however, has not been one of them. There are some foods that you have to pan fry but with most of their products you can just add boiling water.

I tried this bag in the Uinta's. It's a good bag, its light and easy to carry, however was not that impressed with the pad. I slept the same--not much--with or without the bag and pad attached. This is a bag for the early spring or fall because the pad and bag have no room for any perspiration.

These poles are sturdy and strong but a little heavier than say a Leki pole, which when hiking long distances can make a difference. They are inexpensive but have some great freatures for that price.

All I can say is I love it. This is the first time buying DriClime. I don't know what I was thinking not getting one, it's light, it keeps you warm in windy conditions and it breathes really well. I have used it for hiking and mountain biking. This should be a must on your outdoor gear list.

This is a great day touring back. You have room for your shovel, probes and hydration system without the feeling of out of balance, especially when skiing. Lots of straps for extra things, even though those straps can be a pain in the ass if you want to go day hiking in the summer. Other wise it’s a great pack.

This is the Rolls-Royce of boats. Its slick design is ideal for cutting through the toughest of waves without making too many adjustments in your paddling. Whereas a lot of boats will sit on top of the wave, the Shadow goes through them like a speeding bullet. Even in a head wind this boat is pretty stable and quick. A great boat for a good day or multi-day touring.

After a long break from running, I have started to pick it up again. Because I have problems with shoes, I usually buy New Balance. But after trying these, there is no comparison. They are light, have a great roll control, especially on rocky trails. Most importantly they are comfortable. I even use them for light mountain – they are flexible enough for running but give me enough stiffness for biking.

This must be one of the easiest bike mounts to set-up. It took less than an hour to put on my spare tire (no cover). The bikes are easy to get on and off, even mountain bikes with thick frames. The only downsides are the rubber clips, buy spares.

Yet another great product from MSR. There is no repeat pumping to make sure that the water is clear, the ceramic filter takes care of that. On some filters the in-take tube can float to the top of the water and take in microns from the surface water, whereas the in-take tube on the MSR just goes below the surface.

If you are looking for something that is lightweight but does not take away from performance, then this is the bag. Its construction and overall design keeps you warm in the coldest of nights. Its hood is wide with a drawstring to close it around your head, it also has a inside zip baffle for extra warmth. I have used this bag in the French Alps to the desert of New Mexico, its never let me down.
