Trusty Tadpole

The North Face Tadpole 23 Bx Tent 2-Person 3-Season

Rating for this product: 5 April 3, 2009

I have the 2006 version of the lil Tadpole and I love it! its lightweight, sleeps two, and only takes a few minutes to setup. I was down in the Utah Canyons (Paria) and even though it was 22 degrees plus gusting winds, it still only took a matter of a couple minutes to get setup. The vestibule is really handy too as to keep your smelly boots dry yet out of your tent!

not ideal for long backpacking trips

ALPS Mountaineering Lightweight Series Air Pad

ALPS Mountaineering Lightweight Series Air Pad

Rating for this product: 3 February 27, 2009

when you have a lot of gear with you, you really notice the 3 pounds this puppy puts on. I didn't pay attention the weight (over 3 lbs) when I ordered it but realized my mistake when I got in the mail. This will be great for camping and short hikes but for my longer hikes I am going to stick with my extra light Therma-rest.

686 Smarty Troop Pant - Men's

686 Smarty Troop Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 December 19, 2006

I have used this pants on about 10 trips so far and they have held up great. It has been an awesome year for the Northwest with deep light powder, which these pants do a great job keeping out my bum. They fit very well but are also very flexible. The only things I hate are the pocket zippers. Every time I stick my numb fingers in their to change songs on my iPod I scratch the heck out of my hands diggin into my pocket.

Burton SL-9 Snowboard Boot - Men's

Burton SL-9 Snowboard Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 14, 2006

I bought a pair of the SL-9's before a trip up to Whistler. The first time I put them on The system broke...and I wasn't even half way tightened!!! I actually saw the flaw in the lace before I even put the boot on. I could see a little "ripple" in the lace and sure enough thats where it broke. The inner part of the lace broke and then the rest of it ripped off without much effort. Its been a month now and they are still in the shop..I called Burton and they admitted that they where having major problems with lace systems and where about 3 weeks backed up fixing them. obviously there are satisfied buyers who wrote reviews so all I have to say is GOOD LUCK and BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK if you decide to buy a pair of SL-9's. **This problem seems to be effecting the entire Burton lineup with the Lace System according to my Local Ski shop in Seattle, WA**

Burton Ion Snowboard Boot - Men's

Burton Ion Snowboard Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 November 21, 2006

I got my first pair of quality snowboard boots. They slipped on great and felt perfect....until they speed zone lacing system broke!!!! It was the very first time I put on the boots and right when I pulled on the cord it snapped somewhere in the boot. My local board shop says they have had multiple returns because of this exact same problem. Awesome boots but hey, just some food for thought.

Burton Space Sack

Burton Space Sack

Rating for this product: 4 September 29, 2006

Very easy and simple. I also have the Gig bag which is even better. Of course that’s how life is, the more you pay, the better it is. But for price for this bag is a steal!! Make sure you buy a bag at least 4cm bigger then your board.
