Arc'teryx Bora 80 Backpack - 4390-5000cu in
March 1, 2012
I agree with Mike. The osprey Bladder has a frame, which is meant to rest along your spine. This does two things: it keeps the weight of the water next to your back, as well as gives the bladder shape so you don't get a funky shaped bladder weighing you down. Also, it has a magnetic clip feature that is super nice. I have the 2L and the 3L, but I rarely use the 2L. I find it to be too small. Here is the link so you can check it out yourself: http://www.backcountry.com/osprey-packs-hydraform-hydration-

Stoic Vaporshell 3L Jacket - Women's
September 29, 2011
I own this jacket and am quite happy with it. It is a great rain jacket and I use it for my top layer when backpacking in 40+ degree weather. It would work perfectly for your application. If you do make the purchase be tender with front zipper, if you try to zip it half way up its hard to undo. Hope this helps! Have a fun time in Europe sounds like a blast!

Snow Peak Titanium Double Wall Cup 450
September 20, 2011
You can always use titanium over a backpacking stove though it looks as though the handle will probably get hot. However, If by direct heat you mean a camp fire then I would say try not to use it. I have a lot of titanium cookware and though it will always hold up over a fire it WILL warp due to the differences in temperature on the bottom of the cup. If your just purchasing it for a light weight cup to beat up, go for it; its not going to break. Anyways, love snow peak and wish you the best of luck!

Oakley Primed Jacket - Men's
September 20, 2011
I have almost the exact same build, maybe 5-10 pounds heavier. I personally would get a medium because I like a little bit tighter fit, a small in my opinion would be too small. Hope that helps, also you can always send it back to backcountry!

Special Blend Unit Jacket - Men's
September 20, 2011
I would get him a large just from past experience with coats. However no matter what size you purchase backcountry.com will allow you to send any product back. So get both sizes! See which one fits and send the one that doesn't fit back lol. Hope that helps. Looks like a nice jacket.

Five Ten Anasazi LV Climbing Shoe - Women's
August 2, 2011
I don't have a pair of these, but after reading your question I would recommend ordering a 7 since the shoe is so tight. Be sure to keep in mind how aggressive the shoe is. For extremely aggressive shoes, most climbers just put them on for the route/problem and then take them off. Also, the synthetic material won't stretch like leather will so the fit should be pretty good when you try them on. I know this didn't directly answer your question but figured I'd take a shot at it. Hope it helped! Happy Climbing :)

Stoic Wraith Shell - Men's
August 1, 2011
I do not own the jacket but have tried it on several times at the back country warehouse. The material is strong, and light; but did not come off as being breathable. I would say that it is more like a windproof non breathable jacket, if your making the purchase for this reason I think you would be more than satisfied. Hope this helps!!

Big Agnes Gear Loft-Square: Fits Pine Island, Picket Mountain & Salt Creek Tent

I researched this slightly because I myself have been looking at purchasing a gear loft. I came across this website: http://www.bigagnes.com/Products/Detail/Accessory/GearLoft . Looks like the the only one that fits is the "Large Wall Loft" which backcountry does not carry :(. Hope this was helpful!

Scarpa Booster Climbing Shoe - Vibram XS Grip
July 27, 2011
Is there any Scarpa climbing shoes available for sizing in your area? I have found that many of the manufacturing use roughly the same sole size. I would think trying on a similar Scarpa would give you a rough estimate of where your foot would be as far as sizing for the booster. Hope that helped, and good luck!!

Scarpa Booster Climbing Shoe - Vibram XS Grip
July 27, 2011
I don't have either of the shoes however have had several La Sportiva and absolutely love them. I was comparing the both and both seem like great shoes! Obviously I am bias but it looks like the solution has more rubber on the heel as well as on the toe, which means great "hooking" for overhangs. Also, I would imagine the leather would form to your foot better allowing for a more comfortable fit. Anyways, take what I say with a grain of salt; hope it helped!

Evolv Hera Rock Climbing Shoe - Women's
July 27, 2011
If I could make any recommendation, I would absolutely 100% try on a pair of shoes before you make the purchase. My first shoes was the La Sportiva Nago; In casual shoe I wear a 9-9.5, however in the Nago I was a 7. My next pair of shoes was the La Sportiva Muira XS which I wore a 7.5. Overall I would recommend going to a local retail store and trying some on. Then coming home and making the purchase off of backcountry taking advantage of the discounts. Simply purchasing them off of the internet will most likely lead to a return.

The short answer is no. I am an avid boulder-er and sport climber, I would never purchase a pair of climbing shoes without trying them on. My first shoes was the La Sportiva Nago; In casual shoe I wear a 9-9.5, however in the Nago I was a 7. My next pair of shoes was the La Sportiva Muira XS which I wore a 7.5. La Sportiva Glacier Mountaineering Boot - Women's
July 27, 2011
Hi, I don't have this boot or the boot I am about to recommend. However, I know at least four people with the Trango ( LSP0109 ). Each and everyone of them swear by it and they always seem to do the best when we are climbing. I would highly recommend this boot based off of the testimonies or other. Oh, and I'm sure they're waterproof! Hope this helped!!

Evolv Bandit Climbing Shoe
July 20, 2011
I agree with Sam above me. I would NEVER buy a climbing shoe that I have not tried on. I have found that in some eVolvs I wear an 8.5. In my La Sportiva Nagos I wear a 7; and in Casual I wear a 9.5. I would try them on and then come to backcountry.com and take advantage of cheaper prices.
