Giro G10 MX Helmet

Got a previous model, 09 or something, but cant see any differences beyond colours. Smith audio (single tip) fits in nicely, comfortable chin strap, perfectly snug on the head and makes me feel hardcore just wearing it around home. Haven't crashed in it yet but expect it'll do the job just fine.

Just wish they were tougher

Outdoor Research Latitude Mitten

Outdoor Research Latitude Mitten

Rating for this product: 4 September 6, 2011

Nice combo. The inner gloves aren't the warmest or the most waterproof, but good for dexterity when ice climbing, skiing without too much bulk etc. When they get wet and cold, end of a pitch or you're at the top of the mountain and its blowing a gale, pull on the mitts and the goretex does what its meant to - the gloves dry out with the warmth of your hands. Wearing the combo is great for colder situations. Only real drawback is the "leather" glove surface is not tough, brother's got basically worn out after a week of rope handling and rap's.

Outdoor Research Furio Pant - Men's

Outdoor Research Furio Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 July 6, 2011

Awesome pants, used them skiing, ice-climbing, hiking. Light-weight, well reinforced against crampons and ski-edges, full-length zips on the legs, powder skirts in the ankles. Never been cold in them, never got wet, and never felt restricted. If you're playing in deep powder bib / salopette type pants might suit you better or have a long jacket over the top.

Good with room to improve

Adventure Medical Ultralight Pro First Aid Kit

Adventure Medical Ultralight Pro First Aid Kit

Rating for this product: 5 July 6, 2011

There's a fair bit of gear in here. Some of it you'll probably never need, other bits you'll go through regularly. Just as importantly, there's heaps of space in the pack to customise, add in medications from a pharmacy that they cant sell you, etc etc. And its all kept nice and waterproof. Would definitely recommend.

Keylock nose, light-ish, good action and cheap for a solid brand. They do what they need to, good gear.
