Casio Pathfinder PAW5000 Altimeter Watch

Casio Pathfinder PAW5000 Altimeter Watch

Rating for this product: 5 April 17, 2011

I can now give an update. The sync works perfectly. turns out...human error! There is a function to enable/disable the automatic syncing. Needs to be set up properly.

Buy this watch in total confidence. It works well, it syncs(!), and it's beautiful.

G3 Onyx AT Binding

August 1, 2010

Looking for a reputable ski shop in the North East with G3 Onyx binding knowledge to mount them properly on my skis. I went to G3s website and found a list. The first two places I've been to, one had never touched nor been trained on mounting the Onyx; the other had never heard of G3!! If you can recommend someone, I would be grateful.

Scarpa F1 Boot

July 27, 2010

These Mondo charts are supposed to be simple and standard...Scarpa shows Mondo 26.5 as US Men 10.5...Others show Mondo 26.5 as US Men 8.5.
What is the right Mondo size for this boot for a US men 8.5 size foot?

G3 Onyx AT Binding

July 24, 2010

This binding is a "Tech"-type binding. Some boots are classified as "AT", others as "TLT _ Dynafit" and finally "AT & TLT". What are the differences between an AT and a TLT boot? Can both types of boots be used with the Onyx?

Voile Release Kit w/ Brake

May 27, 2010

For touring, rolling descents and a little in-area skiing is the Voile release Kit with Voile 3-pins Mountaineering adequate or would the 3-pins CRB (with cables) be the one to go after?

My boots are Alpina BC 1575.

BTW I'm not into jumping 20'-high cliffs nor telemarking in moguls...I'm more of the long and slow telemark turns type. I'm also just an intermediate skier at both touring and telemark skiing.

Thanks for your comments.

Hardwire 3-Pin CRB on Rossignol BC90????

Voile Hardwire 3-Pin CRB Telemark Binding

Voile Hardwire 3-Pin CRB Telemark Binding

Rating for this product: 5 May 26, 2010

Anyone has an opinion to share on this prospective set-up? I would pair this with either a SCARPA T3 or Garmont Excursion boots.
I was brought up on Alpine skiing (Intermediate skier) and have done lots of XC Ski in tracks. I'm new to free-heel skiing.
Any comment or suggestion(s) would be greatly appreciated.
