I love this pot setup. It couldn't be much more useful, clever, or well-designed. It really does give you everything you could need for two people and packs up so, so well. The main pot is excellent, can fit two bags of food to heat up within it and have no problems with sticking, and the handle is sturdy! Lid works as a strainer and the bag doubling as a wash sink is great. Everything about it is smartly done.

Unless you're some kind of ridiculous gear junkie that has to customize everything, I really don't think you'll get a better out of the box set up than this one.

I use these in the Sierra Nevadas of central/southern CA almost every day (Santa Barbara county). I do tons of hiking and trail running with a lot of creeks involved. I wanted a waterproof shoe both for the water crossings and just so I could be out in tall grass and underbrush without the feet getting soaked from dew. These shoes do the trick.

I was debating between these and the North Face 105's. I went with these because they're a sturdier build, don't give nearly as much, and since I over pronate this was kind of an issue. The NF shoes really seemed like they'd give too much. They seemed like slightly beefed up running shoes whereas the Merrell's feel like slightly stripped down hiking shoes. Make sense?

Haven't had any bears test mine yet, but I like this cannister just fine. I think most complaints directed at bear cannisters seem not to complain about the function of the product, only at the hassle of having to use one of these. They aren't very convenient and bulky, that's for sure, but that's the nature of the beast.

This one holds plenty of food and the transparent walls are very, very useful. Definitely handy as a seat at camp or for fetching water. The latches are easy once you learn how to do it, though they do get stiffer in cold weather.

Not coming at you with tons of experience on this one since it's my first pack, but I can definitely say I love it.

The sleeping bag compartment fits both my bag and travel pillow, and the outside straps for the sleeping bag are perfect. The outside straps will hold your tent just fine while still being able to stuff plenty into the elastic pouch on the back. The side pouches for water bottles are easy enough to access on the go once you get used to them.

Inside is plenty of space, though I definitely recommend a couple compression sacks to make it easy. Carried two compression sacks and a solo size bear cannister just fine, though, with room to spare. Zipper on the outside gives easy access to the inside. Top pouch holds a ton of stuff and it functions very well when you detach it for a day pack (which isn't hard to do, by the way. Putting it back on is simple as well, just make sure you know where to thread it).

It's super comfy, keeps weight distributed well, has a ton of compression straps built in, and even a little strap to keep your hydro pouch upright. The belt and straps all cinch really well and stay put, all very easy to adjust.

Overall I'm really happy with my purchase and plan on using this pack for years and years to come.

Needed a new shell for a Yosemite trip and I'm sure happy with this one. Super comfy, not clammy, great fit, and excellent water/wind protection! It saw rain, sleet, hail, snow, and plenty of waterfall spray and I stayed 100% dry. Didn't even have problems where my straps were going over it. If you're looking to get a great jacket without spending $200+ I'd get this one right here. I've always really liked Marmot gear (have a soft fleece by them that's wonderful) and this one is no exception.

Have been out a few times with this tent so far (SB county back country, Yosemite/Hetch Hetchy, and Joshua Tree) and it's been great. Still haven't managed to get it very symmetrical-looking but it's still easy to set up and it kept the rain and wind out just fine. Just enough room for two people inside with slivers of space running down the length. Can fit two packs, boots, and random knick knacks in the vestibule without worrying about them.

I'd recommend getting the footprint, something I'll be doing soon. I've noticed that down near my feet it can get a bit damp overnight as moisture eventually soaks through. But I haven't had issues with condensation inside. And yes, if you're tall (I'm just over 6'0", it can be an escapade getting in and out but then again, it's a tent.

I wear this boot while hiking and backpacking around Santa Barbara, and also wore it for a week out in Yosemite/Hetch Hetchy.

It requires virtually no breaking in and feels more like a shoe than a boot. I can actually run pretty freely in these and they aren't too heavy or clunky at all. I haven't gotten any blisters from it (and I got TONS from my last pair) and it takes quite a few miles before I even feel any hotspots. The grip and stability are both excellent. Waterproofing has held up superbly (streams, rain, and snow so far) and the materials it's made of are super tough. I really do love these boots, could wear them all the time. Yes, they're quite expensive, but when you're doing uphill miles with a 35-40 lb. pack, you won't regret it.
